Seeing all of Beringer faults. Fouling, bad hands and the biggest concern defensive rebounding
Yup, looks really green going up against real competition vs. garbage time or some decimated lineup. Still just a baby though.
100% still really high on him long term but the people who complain about finch this is why Beringer is not in the rotation
Yeah, I'm right there with you. Finchy was saying midseason that Joan would be seeing meaningful minutes before the end of the season...I suspect he hasn't been happy with what he has seen in practices. Give him a couple years though...

The thing that amazed me about Dereck Lively II was how such a young big man figured out defensive positioning so damn well so damn early. He was a 20-year old rookie when we went up against him in the Conference Finals two years ago and he was arguably the better Center between him and Gafford. He's the exception though. Just tons of nuance to playing defense for NBA Centers.

True. But he has played a lot more basketball than Joan too, and unlike Joan, had actually gotten some defensive coaching in his first language! Joan's development is going to be slower than the typical NBA rookie for a few reasons. The physical tools are there though.

And playoff TJ has arrived!
So funny how almost all of his best games have been against OKC, probably the best defense in the modern era of the NBA, yet has been a total dud most of the time otherwise. [insert head slap emoji].
