The good (for the Wolves): Gordon is out.

[Note: Apologies on the grammar nit.]
Even though he hasn't been himself, that is huge news in this pivotal game. Undersized Jones starting at PF maybe with Nnaji behind him? I like Gordon and feel bad for him, but I like winning more, so this is good news for our squad.

I have the same nagging fear as you though about 43/18/14. Come on Rudy, we need you.
I'd be fine if he puts up 40+ pts and 14+ rebounds. It's the assists we want to keep in check! It's the same game plan as it has been for the past few years: Make him a scorer.

On Gordon, that is indeed big news, but not too surprising. When you get downgraded from Probable in the morning to Questionable in the afternoon, things are definitely trending in the wrong direction. And that's after a couple days off!

Injury luck is part of playoff basketball and if you look at the history of Champions, many of them benefited from it along their journey. Let's hope the Wolves take advantage.

1) yes Rudy's great iso defense

But also

2) Denver is positioning Jokic at the top of key most possessions with Rudy out there to draw him away from the basket to open up driving lanes and playmaking opportunities for the team. Its a big reason why Murray is having a good series so far. Ultimately I think this is to the Wolves advantage if they keep doing it because I think Minnesota will get better at defending it. With Gordon out they should be able to let Rudy lurk with Randle defending Jokic
I was thinking the same thing about letting Rudy lurk, Aussie. But while Jones hasn't taken that many 3-pointers this season, he's still hit 39.6% of them, and he was a 40% three-point shooter in his 4 years at Stanford. I don't know that we want to leave him alone.
I think they will keep throwing a variety of looks at Jokic, but I expect Rudy to start on him.

Knicks game isn't going to be over for awhile, and if it goes to OT, we might get to watch our game about midway through the 2nd quarter.

I worry that the Wolves might relax a bit knowing that AG is out. Plus sometimes the "next man up" mentality for Denver can produce a pleasant surprise. Hopefully, the Wolves stay focused.

We got Kevin Harlen tonight! Maybe that'll offset the Scott Foster experience...

For those with Prime, you can watch the Wolves game even though the Knicks are still playing.

NAW and KAT both coming up huge on the defensive end in crunch time.

Its annoying to use the challenge this early, right or wrong.

Love the intensity so far. Looks like the Wolves want to go for the kill.

Not sure I like that challenge. Foster will find anything to not admit they made a mistake, such as ANT’s hand on Jamal’s body.
