I seriously doubt Randle has a lot of value. His playoff deficiencies have been on full display. Plus he has a player option after next season, which is never seen as a positive for teams. Getting off Randle's contract will require taking back something another team is also looking to get off of, which means a bigger contract and likely for more years. But the hope is you are taking back something that is a better fit. It's why I think LaMelo Ball could be a possible target when you look at Charlotte's situation. They have Coby White as a FA they want to re-sign. Something there might make sense.

I think Randle is getting paid about what he is worth so at worst his contract is neutral and only so many players aren't signed past a year or 2 anyway...and some that are you wish they weren't.
It seems likely that a lot of big salary players will be moving around this off-season so Randle could end up in one of those deals. What will he bring back? Idk but I do think he is a guy that is moveable without having to sweeten the deal to get away from having him on the roster which is good.

I can't help but wonder if there is more friction between ANT and fiction than we are allowed to see. ANT choosing to congratulate the Spurs when Finch decided to give up midway through the 4th quarter could be seen as a sign of frustration. And the re-signing of Randle last offseason had to be driven more by Finch than any great desire by Connelly. I don't expect Finch to be let go, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I agree that Ju's contract despite this last bad stretch is pretty fair. We saw the worst of him after he was mentioned in the trade offerings and his will to play hard for the team vanished and likely confidence too dropped.
I think in the right situation in the East he can be pretty good. Just like KAT has seen some more success, I think Randle could be effective on the right team.
He was real close to working out well here too, but things went badly and a new change would be wise for both.

My way too early offseason prediction:
Finch stays but Nori ends up replacing him midway through next season if the team gets off to a slow start.
Randle gets traded to the Nets for Nic Claxton and Ben Saraf. We take on an extra year of Claxton but get a guard prospect ( even though I think Saraf sucks.)
As a result, Gobert ALSO gets moved. That one will be a bit complicated in the return and for who, but he has to go so Claxton is at center. Probably have to get a guard back somehow. Maybe a 3 teamer with Phoenix and Toronto where we get Quickley, Royce O’Neale and Gradey Dick. Something like that.maybe a pick gets added in.
Wolves draft Joshua Jefferson at 28 to back up Reid.
Wolves keep Ayo at $18-19 mil a year.
C Claxton /Beringer /Zikarsky
PF Reid /O’Neale/Joshua Jefferson
SF McDaniels /Dick / #59
SG Edwards /Shannon /FA vet min
PG Quickley/ Dosumnu /Saraf
This all seems pretty logical. I’m not sure how it works moneywise but what happens with Donte in this scenario?

On Ant: Needs to get his body right, as playing hurt was very new to him. Needs to refine his approach/intangibles.
On Team Needs Part I: Talked about needing more connective tissue and toughness to surround Ant, Jaden, and Naz.
On Team Needs Part II: Definitely wants more ball handling; wants Ant off ball more; talked about having multiple guys that can "get to their spots" and make a shot or pass; felt the Ayo/Shannon/Ant trio had shown promise in this regard.
On the Ant/Julius pairing: Wanted it to be better than what it was; too much your turn/my turn; felt he and the coaching staff didn't maximize their potential together.
On habits/discipline: Gotta get better. Discipline came and went.
Ownership/Connelly: Felt the communication and relationship between coach/POBO/Ownership was the best he's ever seen (as an assistant) or experienced. Felt they were set-up for a really good summer.

So many juicy nuggets dropping from Jon K and various exit interviews. My favorite one is Naz being asked about getting knocked out by San Antonio and OKC, what they need to do to get past them. He stated they need to get rid of moodiness because that's not something the other two teams are!!!

Maybe the entire wolves roster needs to go live with monks this offseason.
