They have to pay Chet soon. They won't be able to keep all of J-dub, Chet, Shai and Giannis. Why could they not win next season? They lost close in a 7 game series. Everyone is too short minded. HAVE to win each and every season or else make changes. Sometimes the move is let other teams make moves, sit idle and your team goes back to the top.
It's simple, they can't beat the Spurs anymore as currently constructed. The Spurs are only going to get better and Wemby is going to become an even bigger problem. They will have to trade JDub in the deal and give up a shitload of picks to get Giannis. But it doesn't matter, they have so many assets they would basically be getting Giannis without denting their stockpile. I'd be shocked if Giannis isn't in OKC next year.
It is possible they win this game if J'dub had played.
I think it was possible this year, I don't see it going forward. They need Giannis to neutralize Wemby. It makes too much sense and they can get him as easily as deciding that's what they want to do.

If Giannis is hurt next year, they're beyond screwed.

If I'm Milwaukee the only team I talk to for Giannis would be OKC right about now. I'd be dreaming of Chet, Mitchell, 3 1's (two being this year) for Giannis and Rollins

Bucks can have

Chet Holmgren
12th pick probably Morez Johnson
Ousmane Dieng
Brayden Burries
Ajay Mitchell/Bennett Stirtz

They'll be back in the East playoffs in a year.

Yeah, I'm with you on this. They definitely need to talk to OKC before doing anything else.

OKC obviously has the most to offer, but I cannot see Giannis signing off on that. They can get a year of him but absolutely no guarantees he'll sign an extension with them

then

1. Tim Connelly needs to end any talks with Milwaukee

2. a key to any star now is they wanna keep their bird rights and get dealt somewhere. These teams just don't have free agent money like that, so should Milwaukee take a lesser deal from Miami because Giannis might extend there? No. Do what Portland did with Dame.

3. Most importantly, Milwaukee has to stop caring about what he wants. Let that be OKC's problem.

The issue is the other team (OKC in this example) may either pull their offer or water it down if they don't get a commitment from Giannis' camp to extend. Why would OKC offer up JDubs, multiple 1sts, Sorber, etc. etc. all for a one year rental???

So yes, it really does matter where Giannis wants to go as it could somewhat restrict the number or quality of offers they receive from other teams.

[Sam Amick] The Thunder are not expected to show interest in Giannis Antetokounmpo, but they have shown interest in Evan Mobley,

“League sources have long maintained that Oklahoma City would not take part in the Giannis Antetokounmpo sweepstakes that will dominate the summertime conversation, but this sort of stunning finish is enough to re-spark that conversation. Nothing should be off the table when the end goal wasn’t reached. There has long been chatter about the Thunder having interest in Cleveland big man Evan Mobley as well, but Cavaliers general manager Koby Altman insisted in an end-of-season news conference that Mobley wasn’t going anywhere.”

The exact target I was thinking the Wolves should go after in Mobley.

I don't really watch enough Cleveland, but Mobley is 4 years younger, two time first team all defensive team, defensive player of the year last year, and can stretch the floor. I have heard he is a bit soft, so I'm not sure if he would just be another Chet though against Wemby. Now Allen's contract is easier to digests, Mobley is probably overpaid.

I'm trolling a bit. I don't really know one way or the other, I just like Allen more. That afro is slick lol
