Would have to be a sign-and-trade. Josh and Mo get the number up to around $17 million in the first year. That could be enough for Collins on a multi-year deal. I’d stay away from Collins. As many of you probably recall, I loved him coming out of college and his rookie season made me look pretty smart. But before long the Hawks were trying to unload him for several years and somewhere in that time frame he was suspended for failing a drug test. The Clippers are the third team he’s been on that doesn’t want to keep him. Too many red flags for a player with his talent.
And your starting PF for the 26-27 Minnesota TimberWolves is?

That's fair. Definitely don't want to be overpaying for a risk.Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2026 9:20 pm Would have to be a sign-and-trade. Collins would be further down my list so I'm ok if he is out of the Wolves price range. If he signs elsewhere it will help push someone else here.

I would really like Obi Toppin. Maybe the pacers would be open to moving him. Believe he is at 15 million. Maybe They would take Green and Gueye for him? Give Lamelo both Toppin and Rudy to throw lobs to.

If i am the Pacers, i would take nothing back less than Green and Shannon Jr. Toppin proved himself useful in their playoff run of blown chip thanks to the Hali injury early in game 7.Crazysauce wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2026 11:15 pm I would really like Obi Toppin. The Pacers are cheap and have some guys to resign next summer so they might value getting off of Toppins deal and opening up more time for Jarace Walker.Mnwild1128 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2026 11:21 pmIf i am the Pacers, i would take nothing back less than Green and Shannon Jr. Toppin proved himself useful in their playoff run of blown chip thanks to the Hali injury early in game 7.Crazysauce wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2026 11:15 pm I would really like Obi Toppin. Well, if the Pacers take that stance then I’d politely decline and move on to another target. I like Obi Toppin, but let’s not forget his a poor defender and mediocre rebounder at his position. He’s your definition of a one-way player and while very good off the bench offensively he’s certainly not elite.Mnwild1128 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2026 11:21 pmIf i am the Pacers, i would take nothing back less than Green and Shannon Jr. Toppin proved himself useful in their playoff run of blown chip thanks to the Hali injury early in game 7.Crazysauce wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2026 11:15 pm I would really like Obi Toppin. Chris Broucher. He's sneaking under the radar because he did not finish the season on anyone's roster. If he had anything left in the tank (33 years old), he would be an okay depth piece.

We're getting desperate here, LOL.

My take is Collins now is a classic good player depending on the price tag type guy. How much is that price tag? Idk but I can definitely be on board with being wary of giving him a multi-year deal for the full mid-level. At this point the Clippers probably have no clue what their team is gonna look like next year. It makes sense they aren't exactly prioritizing bringing Collins back although I just read a report that they are still considering bringing him back.TheGrey08 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2026 9:48 pmThat's fair.
