Well those are fair arguments. I guess Bones just kinda bugs me and I was hoping he wouldn't be back, but a low cost bucket getter is worth having around.
It going to be so interesting to see how things shake our over the next few days; folks have very divergent opinions of what my moves should be made next --- even tho everyone agree that A power forward of some kind is needed.

Bones is back according to Jon K

Re: Wolves Depth Chart
He's perfectly fine at the minimum. Not a playoff rotation player (may be he can still grow into that?), but definitely a useful regular season player. Plus he can shoot the damn ball and we need shooters.WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2026 5:25 pm Bones is back according to Jon K

In terms of competent primary ball handlers we have Ball, Bones, and Ayo, with Ant, Shannon, and DDV as secondary guys.
Then we have Evans and Clark as pure wings that should spend very little time on the ball. One is a movement shooter and the other is a (somewhat) 3&D specialist that can cut.
Feels like we have our guards/wings pretty much in place at this point (?).

Who's to say! Every where I look I see how they can't play Jaden at PF because there isn't a wing stopper in his place, but we're simultaneously abundant in wings.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2026 5:46 pmHe's perfectly fine at the minimum. Yeah, well at this point it appears that Ayo, Ant, and Clark will have to carry a heavier load defensively. Clark has another opportunity this year to break into Finch's regular rotation. Avoid the bad fouls 35 ft from the bucket and make 35% or more of your open 3s. Clean those two things up and we'll be seeing a lot more of him.AussieWolf3 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2026 6:03 pmWho's to say! Yes, somewhat confusing. But I think Clark can guard the vast majority of SFs in the League. TSJ can score against any SF and might become a decent wing defender. And who knows that TC is thinking.AussieWolf3 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2026 6:03 pmWho's to say! I do … Connelly called me this afternoon to fill me in on things and ask for advice. I’m not allowed to share what I learned but I gave him the link to this forum. Plenty of advice for him here!Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2026 6:27 pmYes, somewhat confusing. But I think Clark can guard the vast majority of SFs in the League. I just talked with Tim. He said you called him and he regrets picking up the phone. Tim said you advised him to trade Jaden for Dean Wade.Sundog wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2026 6:47 pmI do … Connelly called me this afternoon to fill me in on things and ask for advice. Re: Wolves Depth Chart
Absent any trades between now and July 6, this is our roster:
1. LaMelo
2. Edwards
3. TSJ
4. Jaden
5. Rudy
6. Ayo
7. Beringer
8. Green
9. Clark
10. Evans
11. Bones
12. Donte (inactive)
If TSJ is the player we’ve seen a number of times in the playoffs, he’ll be our Jalen Williams at SF and this roster can work. But I’m still expecting the Wolves to acquire a rotation PF via the $6M MLE or a Green trade. Either way, I’d like to see Finch run a 10-man rotation.

Re: Wolves Depth Chart
Based on what we know of his skill set, I don't see any merit to TJ starting. He's best with the ball in his hands, playing from the top of the floor; that's not happening if he's sharing the floor with Ball and Ant most of the time.Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2026 7:32 pm Absent any trades between now and July 6, this is our roster:

Maybe he's able to add to his game with a reliable 3 pointer and good defense, which isn't out of the realm of possibility. However, for what it's worth, I think he's best as the first one of the bench for Ball, and I'd have Ayo start.
If not that then, to be honest I don't really see any issue with starting Green as a 3 and D specialist, even if Ayo outpaces him in minutes.
