LST - Great point. I am just dreaming we can come up with one of those trades that comes up with 2 or 3 solid pieces for the future.

monster idk anything about Mona. It makes sense why they got a catcher in the braves deal though. I really think the season relies on what happens tonight in Oakland. Got to remember we're chasing the Yankees, the Royals and the defending AL champs the Indians. We also have to leap frog the Mariners and Rays and there's three teams a game back behind us. I just don't think this year to take a shot for the playoffs that's a lot of teams in contention, we're kind of caught in no mans land.

It sounds like they just outrighted Recker off the 40 man roster.

I agree it's gonna be tough to get a playoff spot. It's possible though. I wouldn't say it's likely.

I'm pretty sure we just became sellers my friends. Espn just reported we traded Garcia to the Yankees.

The Yankees will send minor league pitchers Zack Littell and Dietrich Enns to the Twins as part of the swap and will also receive cash considerations from Minnesota.

I have to say what a deal for the Twins. Essentially flipping a flounder Low A arm for Littell. I've seen this kid pitch before he's not going to blow you away throws 90-92 but when you think of movement think of Kintzler ball movement. Go look at his stats this year. This absoutle steal he was a guy I wanted throwin in a Santana trade to the Yankees. I wish I knew anything about the other guy we got but I sadly don't. We got Yankee top 20 if not top 15 prospect in this deal for flipping a young arm that probably won't get past Double AA

So is the guy another possible 2018 arm in bullpen?

I agree on all points, jester. When I saw the Twins lost in the Strib this morning, I went into complete sell mode...and the paper even said the same. I love the movement on Kintzler's ball...just seems to explode in on righties at the last second. I like that you're saying Littell's ball moves like his, and that he is a top 15 prospect. In other good news, Moya struck out the side in his first inning with the Lookouts.

You can't say these new FO don't do anything.

Thanks for the info Jester. It feels like they did a pretty good job in these deals and they still have 2 spots open on the 40 man roster. It will be interesting to see if they get a haul from another team for another vet.

I agree with them looking to sell now although if they liked the return for Garcia they may have done that even if they were much closer in the playoff run. Losing last night wasn't a death sentence for the playoff chances but there was no reason to hold onto Garcia who is a FA and has been with the team for a few days. We will see if they are willing and get a good enough return to move another guy. It should be an interesting next few hours.

Yankees get Sonny Gray too. He would have been a guy we should have considered trading for.

Did the Yankees over pay with prospects?
