Cook looks to be injured, maybe Diggs too, no Thielen. Just pack it up boys. Game ovvvvvver.

He's a level below Lamar Jackson obviously on agility and speed, but he has such great footwork and is still agile enough to make guys miss and extend plays. Rodgers is a lot of the same. Just making rushers miss and making them pay.
Cousins is very average in this area, maybe below avg. He benefits by having time and then he is very accurate. Of course every QB benefits from having time, it's just that Cousins flaws show with his sub avg mobility and pocket awareness/agility.
For this offense to work top notch, like it has several weeks (Vikes are 3rd in PPD) it's all down to the OLine and running the ball effectively. No run, no win. Cousins can drop back 40+ times and make enough plays, the pass rush will get there too fast, too often.
Cousins has plenty of agility to make plays or evade the rush but yes his pocket presence is not the best. That's partly why it makes sense to move him around plus he is smaller so just having him stand in the pocket probably isn't the best. Cousins wasn't the problem in this game. I stopped watching a few minutes ago I'll finish watching the carnage in the morning.

Just got beat in all 3 phases tonight. Bad turnovers, bad defense, terrible special teams. Protect the damn ball. This team should win games where we score 30. Zimmer's defense just isn't what it used to be. Get your side of the ball corrected coach.

If you had to sum up the Vikings in one 60 minute game, this was it!

Yeah I was on twitter and saw some tweets and then looked at the score with 2 mins left and was like...wait what? Just finished watching the game this morning. Yep that game encapsulated being a Vikings fan. Lol

I agree the defense is far from dominant, but giving the ball away three times doesn't help matters.

Seattle ran for 218 yards. The Vikings ran for not much. I think cook had 29 after he fumbled and got hurt in the middle 3rd quarter. Missing Thielen is tough too. You got Diggs and a 7th rounder in Bisi, a guy who can't play anywhere else (Treadwell). I've said it all year, if the Vikings can't run which they couldn't, they won't win. OLine wasn't getting holes open and the defense couldn't stop the run. I'm sort of surprised it was that close at the end looking at the stats.
The defense has to be better even with the turnovers. You give up that much yardage on the ground and then the QB's job is easy peasy. 37 points given up despite the turnovers won't win many games.

Rhodes has that dump penalty on that first TD drive for Seattle. I also swear they only call that some of the time it was annoying all around.
Rhodes has been ripped plenty but you have to ask yourself as the season progresses...is Linval worth that same kind of money? He came back last night and nothing looked different. Meanwhile that series when the D scored a TD Watts in and had an impact on every single play.

Re: Week 13:. Seahawks
Ya I was mostly referring the the run defense when I added them to the list. They got crushed. Every run felt like it was going for 4-5 yards. Our safeties were just getting carried for yards when trying to tackle Carson. The front 7 just wasn't making plays to create negative yardage. Linval is getting no push anymore. The linebackers are back to taking bad angles and getting blocked out of every run. They went right at the middle of the defense and dominated. Turnovers or not we just weren't getting stops because they had a lot of easy downs after running the ball so easily on early downs.
Also special teams was terrible tonight. I don't get why this team can't figure out that side of the ball. The fake punt was back breaking to allow. The missed extra point that kept it a touchdown game. We had a punt where they didn't even bother covering a gunner for a solid 5-8 seconds and we didn't recognize it and make an easy pass for a first down, yet they even recognized it and eventually called someone over way late just to make sure we didn't fake it. It's an important part of the game that should work like clockwork when well coached and we just consistently have bad special teams.

The defense has been a disappointment for me, I thought they would be top 5 again this season. Rhodes is done, Linval is not playing up to his money either. After last night they will drop out of the top 10 I'm sure. After getting run through like that, it's just disappointing.
