Quick update on something:

Lucroy has an 8 team no trade, and guess who is on it?

Like I've always said, it goes Wild, then Vikings, then Wolves, THEN Twins.

I meant that strictly as the order of Minnesota teams that are most popular with the athletes in their particular sport, not as a comment on that sport as a whole. Nobody has the Wild on their "no way" list and they are on the "yes please" list about 90% of the time. When was the last time a decorated MLB player DEMANDED a trade to the Twins?

I get it now. I would say Twins before Wolves though. It is a nice place to play baseball here. The stadium and weather are pretty good compared to some of the teams in the south. The Wolves you have the weather and the Target Center is a dump.

No, I don't see him as worthless at all...he's a pretty good hitter, and seems to be developing some power. But he can't be trusted to make plays yet on defense...except at second. I have always looked at him as a good prospect, but he ends up on the bench every time he gets called up because they want to play Dozier. Polanco needs to play every day, and Mollie doesn't seem to like him enough to play him when he gets called up. If they don't trade Dozier before the break and think Polanco is our second baseman of the future, he needs to be playing at 2b everyday in Rochester. Calling him up to have him ride the bench like he did in his last 3 call ups isn't the best thing for his development.

Ok I get where you are coming from. I think he will end up playing a few days a week. Before when he got called up is was always sort of a temporary thing. That's not this current gig he is THE backup infielder now. Also you mentioned all those errors. Look back at Nunez in the minor leagues. Tons of errors too. Polonco is 23 let's not get stuck in the "He is who he is can't do this or that" stuff so quickly. Do I think he can play SS long term? No I don't but I didn't think Nunez was a starting SS either. Polonco should be able to play some there on a part time basis. They can even give Dozier a day off here and there to get Polonco some time at 2nd. Between 3rd SS and 2b there should be time to get him in plus some other spots too. I'd rather see him up in the majors and see what he has half time and spend time around the major league club and see what happens than just spend time in the minors. If he was only playing a game or two a week up here yeah that won't help but my guess he is gonna play more than that. It's a good opportunity for him let's hope he does at least somewhat well.

No worries. I could have done a better job explaining what I meant.

The Wolves stuff is strictly conjecture. Very few players have no-trade clauses. And the Wolves have a, um, disjointed history. They are usually rebuilding, and top of the market guys don't want to deal with that. The few years they were competitive, they were VERY over the cap, and sometimes over the Lux, which meant all they could offer was the MLE. So the evidence that NBA players hate the Wolves is not compelling.

Meanwhile, EVERY TIME a MLB player's partial no-trade list is made public, the Twins are on it.

Note: When I read that story on BSPN, they reprinted the tweet that had the list of the teams. Whomever typed of the tweet "hashtagged" the teams. Oh, gee, thanks. That's exactly what fans are looking for.

The Twins have been able to sign players when they wanted to, but they never go after anyone. I think they are going to need to if expect to keep any season ticket holders for next year at this point. Or just go cheap and dump salaries.

Lucroy vetoed a trade to the Indians who are actually good right now right? No way he was coming here and the price was also probably high in terms of what you had to give up to get him.

The Twins are getting Polonco and other young guys In the lineup the last 2 days Polonco and Dozier switching off between DH and 1b Escobar is sticking at 3b and Santana is at SS. Vargas gets the start today at 1b.

Word is Berrios is coming up but no word yet on who goes to make a spot for him. Fingers crossed for a trade of Nolosco. :)
