Yeah, Mauer hasn't gotten the ball out of the infield yet...maybe once last game. With the bases loaded he needs to know Paulina will try to get strike one, and he needs to drive that fat fastball instead of taking it.

Nice RBI for Plouffe, but I don't know how he doesn't get to second on the missed cutoff throw. Pretty sure Gardy will be talking to him...and the first base coach.

This Mauer slump is already hard to watch. 0-7 to start the season. Hasn't hit any ball hard.

I know we're only two games in, but Hicks looks good so far. Looks like a professional hitter instead of a young baseball player. 3-5 on the year, 1 BB, 1 K, 1 2B. Also just got the job done and moved Kurt to third with one out now. Let's score him in and tie the game up. It's up to Pedro.
