I am fine not getting Lang.

We added the 48th and 51st tackles. Sirles was ranked 49th. For comparison Jake Long was ranked worse than all 3 for the few games he could play which felt like a huge improvement over Clemmings.

I expect Remmers to ranking to go up next year switching back to RT. Reiff might go down a bit. Hill looked great in his 49 snaps and hopefully can become the LT of the future and starter in 2-3 years. (unless we find someone better in the draft)

I am Beavers believer and think is is future GOAT type talent, but this team has gotten so good up front he won't make the team next year.

Article is how I feel about the signings. Basically just band-aid for next 2 years. I would expect Berger, Boone, Reiff, and Remmers to all be gone by 2019,

Another read.

http://www.dailynorseman.com/2017/3/13/14897692/vikings-free-agency-riley-reiff-mike-remmers

2016 PFF Scores:

TJ Clemmings 28.3
Matt Kalil 36.9
Andre Smith 39.1
Jake Long 63.9

Riley Reiff 67.5
Mike Remmers 66.1

2015 PFF Scores:

Matt Kalil 68.4
TJ Clemmings 39.7

Riley Reiff 77.5
Mike Remmers 72.1

We should be improved. Now if we can just develop Hill, Clemmings, and Beavers to take over for them in 3 years or less we will be best.

I saw an article bashing the Vikings for the signings they made and said the OL wouldn't me any better. I totally disagree. I think we will likely be mid pack next year with these signings. Which is a huge improvement. We should have the best OL we have had here in the last 5 years which is not saying much, but still worth mentioning. I think the key is for us to start drafting replacements for now and hoping in 3 years they form a solid unit.

Kalil got almost as much money per as Reiff but from what it sounds like to me is Reiff has been the superior player by a bit the last few years. Let's be straight up honest there was basically only one legit LT and maybe one RT that was well above average. Everyone else is a guy that's sucked or is at best average or has been good but then hasn't been good. The Vikings had to sign a couple of those guys. Rieff supposedly is pretty good as a run blocker so that's good.

Good article on OL in the draft. Support why I like Dorian Johnson, Pitt.

Long decides to hang em up. Seemed like a legitimately good dude that his body just broke down.

Tackle Jake Long, who played four games with #Vikings last season before being hurt and wasn't a candidate to re-sign, officially retires:
