Camden wrote:Lip's last post illustrates to me that Minnesota's ownership trio handled Gersson Rosas' termination with precision and professionalism that we haven't always seen in the past. It's difficult to know what a well-run Wolves organization feels like, but I think this is it. Their next big challenge will remain the pursuit of Ben Simmons, but after that I would assume the process of conducting a search for a President of Basketball Operations will be underway even if it's just the preliminary stages. That hire will be very telling to me as to which way this franchise progresses.

I agree, Cam. Although these revelations make the organization look worse in the short run, the process behind the scenes that led to these revelations bodes well for this organization over the long term. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the professionalism and precision described in Jon K's article continues and ultimately produces good results for the organization. The first test will be the selection of Gersson's permanent replacement. But even before that, what the Wolves do or don't do regarding Ben Simmons will be a bit of a window into what we can expect - at least from Gupta.

And now we can close the book on the Gersson Rosas saga, as he earns the coveted 42nd annual Pat Reusse "Turkey of the Year" award. Tough competition with A-rodg and Kyrie Irving worthy competitors, but I think Rosas's award was well-deserved.

Well, I would have given it to Kyrie. Maybe we can give Kyrie Turkey of the Decade award. :)
