Who says no?

New Orleans Pelicans: SG Malik Beasley, C Naz Reid, 2022 first-round pick (top-10 protected)

Minnesota Timberwolves: C Jonas Valanciunas

The Pelicans can't trade Valuncunis because he just signed an extension i believe

That may be so. Plus the Pels wouldn't be interested. It would be a terrific deal for the wolves- even if Wide Load regained his pre-jail shooting touch.

Moses Brown isn't getting any playing time in Dallas and is clearly below every other big on the roster. And he makes next to nothing. I'd love for Minnesota to steal him for a second-round pick next summer.

Cleveland with another win, definitely one of the more surprising starts. Rubio again on the floor as they win a close game against the Celtcis. And here khansy used to always tell me that you just can't win with Rubio on the floor in close games! Whatever happened to khansy? Probably gave up on this franchise. Can't blame him.

Obviously the Pelicans say no. Duh!

I totally understand the go for as many wins as possible strategy to end last season, I was all for it as well. However in hindsight I am absolutely sick that we missed out on Evan mobley

Yeah, Mobley has been terrific. He's a true 2-way player and seldom do we see a rookie make an immediate impact like he has. It's fun to see him disrupting offenses when they employ him at the top of the key in their zone defense, and his quick feet allow him to get back to defend the rim also. I think he will become a bigger focus in their offense as the year progresses (he's an outstanding passer and has a nice 3-point stroke). It would have been nice to have had a few more ping pong balls in the lottery last year, but then we wouldn't have had those culture-changing wins late in the season that contributed to our hot start this season ;-) .

He will probably be better than him, but does anyone else get Moe Harkless vibes when watching Jonathan Kuminga?

The Warriors are very deep so Kuminga is only starting to get a little burn, but I love his athleticism and size. That said, if the Wolves kept their pick (rather than ill-advisedly trading it away for KAT's buddy), they would have had more incentive to tank at the end of last year and end up with a better pick, possibly even top 3 where Mobley was available. Mobley looks like a franchise cornerstone. Not sure how good Kuminga becomes, as he likely won't get big minutes for a while, but he's a powerful and athletic and if he develops a consistent outside shot, he has nice upside. He plays hard on defense. I am watching the Warriors and right now he is 4 of 5 (mostly dunks) and has a block and a steal and is a plus 11 in a tie game.
