His rebounding is a little bit of a concern as far as being the starting 4 next to KAT but he could play well with both Dieng and KAT in terms of offense or just be a solid all around guy off the bench.

Questions: Would Williams take Bejilca's spot in the rotation?
Was this season just another example of a player in a contract year performing abnormally well?
How much is too much for a 30 year old on this young team?

I think someone mentioned him earlier. And wow, Tarrantino hasn't handle any of his reclamation projects better than CHA handled Williams.

My problem with Williams is that his best position is the 4, and depending on who you ask, this team already has anywhere from 3 to 6 4's already on the roster.

I hope that you are not using stats from 82games.com to determine that Towns' best position would be power forward. Based on 82games.com Towns played about 40 minutes as power forward this season. That is such a small sample size that you should not make any conclusion based on that.

I've always though Marvin Williams was undervalued. It's nice the dude added to his game and is getting some love. IMO let's go find the next Marvin Williams who isn't getting a lot of money and sign that guy to a 3 year deal or whatever for some decent money sort of like the Blazers did with Aminu and Davis.

Now is that because he only played 40 minutes this season, or because whenever he is on the floor he is considered the 5? If you think the sample size is too small, that's your opinion. I saw enough in his shooting stroke to think that his best position is a Rasheed-Wallace-style stretch 4.

Note: I would like the the similarities between Wallace and KAT to end there.

This wasn't really worthy of a new thread but it's somewhat interesting.

Link to the entire podcast in below. They don't talk about KG till the very end. There are a couple pretty funny moments but in general not a lot of substance.

Who would you trade the 5th pick for to pickup someone from last years draft? I would love to get Russell from the Laker or Oakfot from 76ers in a second. I could see the 76ers doing it i f Embid is truly healthy. That might be the best they can get for him and I think he could blossom here being back with Tyus Jones and our group.

Yes. I don't know that either the Lakers or Sixers would, but yes.

Bleed should this be in the draft thread? :)

Embiid is unlikely to play in Summer League so I don't think they can count on anything from him at this point.

I can't see the Lakers or Sixers swapping either of those guys for our #5 pick.

As for Marvin Williams, I'm not interested. He's been an underachiever his entire career. He's already 30 years old and he's had a history of back problems. Further, if we're going to sign a PF or C, he should help us on the boards. Williams is not much of a rebounder for a PF, averaging 5 rebounds in nearly 29 minutes per game over his career. If we're going to sign a big, I'd sign Cole Aldrich. I think he's underrated and under-utilized by the Clippers. He wouldn't cost much to sign and he'd give us some size and rebounding at the 5. He's averaged 3.7 rebounds in only 11 minutes per game over his career to date. He'd be great reasonably priced insurance against the prospect that Pek can't play.
