According to bobby marks, if dlo takes a 22-24 mill deal, it's just teague that had to be traded fir space.

To offset the Russell possible overpay the Wolves need to find/develop their bargain contract guy and they have one in Covington already.

I agree with both you and Cool. It's a gamble, but essentially swapping Wiggins for Russell at max is a gamble well worth taking. In my view, the best mitigation for a possible overpay to Russell is the draft and rookie scale or 2nd round contracts. That's why I think it is critical that the Wolves not give up Okogie or Culver in any deal to get Russell. I'd be very reluctant to part with Nowell. I'd be willing to part with a future 1st if it's lottery protected, but only if absolutely necessary. I'd also be willing to part with KBD, but again only reluctantly. And I'd be fine giving up several 2nd round picks.

Albert Nahmad was tweeting about various sign and trades so I figured why not add the Wolves in. So here is my crazy blockbuster (this is so huge maybe it should be called Netflix!!!) sign and trade extravaganza deal.

Sign and trade Kyrie from Boston to Nets.

Sign and trade Kemba from Hornets to Boston.

Sign and trade Russell from Nets to the Wolves.

Wiggins to the Hornets. :)

Rozier could also be a possibility to be signed and traded also!

By the way, Monster, I would love to see the dramatic trade you outlined.

Rosas and company are meeting dlo in person, but they are going to have their meeting with tyus over skype.

Jon K saying DLO could be waiting for Kawhi to make a move first, as to whether he'll join Lakers or Wolves or other...

That's correct. When trading a contract salary less than $19.6 million, the salaries have to be within $5 million of each other. So if Teague were traded for Russell, then DLo's first year salary could be as high as $24 million. That's $3.25 million less than the first year max for Russell.

Sign me up for Rozier at a decent deal also. What's the market for him, 65-70 for 4 years? That could be a little lite I suppose. Just get rid of Wig and Teague.
