LeBron-to-Cavs news will eventually post on http://lebronjames.com . Nat'l media being fed misinformation. I stand by my source & story 100%.

Im leaning towards this being true. It doesnt make sense for cavs to gave away those assets to clear cap space if there is no commitment form james. There is no fall back plan for them if james dont sign there. They arent in play for melo or bosh. There is no other max level free agency this off season that they can sign and that big cap space dont carry over to next off season once kyrie's 90m deal starts and tristan would be a restricted free agent. They have to at least be confident that they will get james.

Only thing working vs the cavs right now is that they have an unproven coach. Just announce your decisions james!

Wow, I was obviously in blissful, homer land for most of the deal.

If Bennett is looking as good as all reports say he is,

Varejo
TT/Bennett
LeBron
Waiters/Wiggins
Irving

has more potential than,

Varejo
Love
LeBron
Martin/Bud
Irving

If I'm Cleveland, I'm rolling with that first team.

What the hell is wrong with you, LST? Are you okay? That second team is 100% better than a team full of unknowns. You're practically asking LeBron to carry the Cavs back to the Finals just like he did in 2007. Kyrie would be the only player besides Bron that can make shots on a consistent basis. Sure, the defense would be iffy, but you can always add defenders. Scorers? Not so much.

Stop with the pessimism I beg of you.

LOL, I'm trying, cam. I was feeling excited and optimistic all day. Then I made the mistake of reading what the Cavs fans are talking about while we're salivating about their players. They're talking about LeBron. They're fired up about Wiggins. And they're even fired up about Bennett. But nobody seems to be too excited about our guy Kevin Love. And when Bennett and Wiggins start putting on a show in Vegas Friday, the optimism in Cleveland is really going to soar. Unless Lebron says to Gilbert "I'm coming if you unload those 4 top 4 picks for Love and Martin", I don't see it happening.

Like I said Love for Wiggins obviously you pull the trigger but they are going to have to give up more than that so its not that simple. Keeping Wiggins and other young guys could mean they have a Spurs type team that's deep and good for years. Its interesting to think about.

I realize what he said. And IF Wiggins ever reaches his potential, then that team has a CHANCE of being better than Bron/Love/Irving. Think you're not putting enough weight into how damn good Love is, and how he continues to add something to his game each year. You want potential? He's not done growing either. The difference is he's already a top-10 player in the league. Three unknowns with a high ceiling don't beat a 25-year old star player with more potential in the tank in his own right.

And I only want those players because that's the situation we're in. We don't have a LeBron possibly signing with us. We don't have Love locked up long-term. Otherwise, I wouldn't even think twice about trading Love. He'd be a keeper.

Yes, its interesting to think about but the reality is lebron-love-kyrie is a contender for years to come. Boston roll the dice with kg-pierce-allen and they won 1 championship but rejuvenate the city and put boston back on the map for years. They gave up the 5th pick and wally for allen. Make a 7 for 1 trade for kg surrendering big al who was supposed to be their future. Its difficult to win 1 championship and odds are much much better when you roll with lebron-love-kyrie.

Love, Martin and Barea for Wiggins, Bennett, Waiters, Thompson and Gee (cut).

Rubio / LeVine / Shved
Waiters / Brewer / Muhammad
Wiggins / Budinger / Robinson
Bennett / Thompson / LMAM
Pek / Dieng / Turiaf

Now that's a team with massive potential!

Kiwi I'd be on board for switching Bud for Kmart. Either way is fine but my main point was that we must get more than just Wiggins and I'd insist on all four of the guys I mentioned plus they take a contract.

I would fully expect LeBron to insist on a deal for Love as a condition of him signing with Cleveland. I don't see LeBron signing with Cleveland based solely on the presence of Irving and the potential of Wiggins and Bennett. He's tell them to trade Wiggins if that what it takes to get Love. And guess what. The Cavs will trade Wiggins for Love. And if the Wolves insist, as we should, on also getting Tristin Thompson, then the Cavs will include Thompson in the deal because that's what LeBron will want and, in any event, Love plays Thompson's position. I still suspect LeBron will end up back in Miami, but if he goes back to Cleveland, then a deal of Love for Wiggins, Thompson and filler will likely be there for the taking if Flip wants it.

Not that it matters much but remember Gee has been traded for Brandon Haywood. Nice little move for the Cavs to get a vet Center in that deal.

If you're Cleveland I think you pull the trigger for Kevin Love (if you get Lebron) just for the simple fact that you almost guarantee a championship to a franchise that has never won one. Lebron, Kyrie, and Love would have 4 years to work it out and they are young enough to to where there won't be much decline in skill. However, you can't just gut your entire roster for 3 players and leave nothing else.
Kevin Love & Turiaf for Wiggins, Bennett, Hayward (salary) and pick(s) makes sense for both teams.

It leaves the Cavs with enough of a roster still have quality role players along with their big 3. And for the Wolves it gives them 2 young prospects, total unknowns yes, but high potential as well as a future first or two in the upcoming drafts.

Do the Wolves get full value for Love? Of course not, but we were never going to. It gives us a chance to hit on a few players that could develop into stars further down the road. Now that we don't have Kahn running the show hopefully (fingers crossed) we make the right front office moves we allow ourselves an expedited rebuild process with 3 high potential guys in Lavine, Wiggins, and Bennett with solid potential from Shabazz, GR3, and Dieng led by our PG Rubio.

I like this more than the other Love trades because they had us treading water without the potential to become a contender, this gives us the potential to build ourselves into a contender, while being realistic about not taking everything from the cupboard in Cleveland.

That doesn't even come close to matching salarywise, and why would they want Haywood?
