Re: Back to the draft...
How far up would 13 + 17 get us? Chicago was close to getting 11 for 16 + 19, supposedly. Would Sacramento be interested in trading down for two 1sts? Or 13 + Martin?

Re: Back to the draft...
Lakers reportedly are trying to package 7 and Nash to clear cap space for 2 superstars.
Minny: Nash and 7
PHI:Pek
LA:Future first from PHI

Re: Back to the draft...
You guys really need to understand the Philly would not want Pek in any way. He has a long expensive contract, Philly is in full rebuild mode, Thad Young is the only player on their roster who is getting paid any significant amount of money and they have been trying to move him for a pick. Yes he would be a nice fit next to Noel but I would think that they would rather just get a young player and keep building their team through the draft.

Re: Back to the draft...
My ideal possible situation now would be the Lakers trade, and then the Boston trade.
Draft Embiid at 6
Draft Smart or Vonleh/Randle at 7
Trade 13 and 17 to Charlotte for 9 and draft Gordon if we took Smart or Stauskas if we took one of the PFs
Rubio MLE
Smart Brewer
Gordon Bazz Bud
Olynyk Bass
Dieng Embiid
Or
Rubio MLE
Stauskas Brewer
Bazz Bud
Randle/Vonleh Olynyk Bass
Dieng Embiid

Philly is going to take Exum in the draft. They would have too think hard about turning down a 20 10 Center for basically nothing.
They've been non contenders for a few years now. They could make a playoff push this year with a lineup of
MCW
Exum
FA
Noel Thad
Pek
Their 3 man big rotation would be one of the best in the league.
I think if you throw a guy like Luol Deng in their you have a playoff team and in the East they could be top 5

Re: Back to the draft...
I don't think we should get three rookies while giving away a proven force in this league (Pek). I'm all for the Boston trade (Love for 6, 17, 2016 BRK and BOS 1st, Olynyk, Bogans, Anthony). I'd also love it if Charlotte traded down for whatever reason (13 and 17 for 9). Maybe CHA would do this for Zach LaVine or James Young.
The picks would be pretty easy for me at that point.
6: Randle
9: Stauskas
Sign a point guard in free agency and see if Flip can work some magic.
PG: Rubio/FA
SG: Martin/Stauskas
SF: Brewer/Muhammad
PF: Randle/Olynyk
C: Pekovic/Dieng

Re: Back to the draft...
The Sixers were trying to contend two years ago when they shipped out Vucevic (arguably at the same level as Pek) and Iggy to bring in Bynum. They got burned in that deal. Last years draft they shipped out Jrue Holiday after his all-star campaign to acquire Noel and a future first which now turned into the #10 pick. At the trading deadline this year they basically gave away players like Evan Turner and Spencer Hawes for essentially nothing, I think they were protected 2nd rounders.
MCW is a nice peice but he had free reign to play in his own style last year so I'm not sold on him as a player who can fit into a proper system. Exum is largely a project with a high ceiling, he and MCW would be a terrible shooting backcourt. Their bench is utter garbage but as you mentioned they could fill it out with all their cap room.
Point is there is no way they are taking Pek and even if they did they would not be contenders in the east, I think the bucks would still be better than the Sixers next year even with Pek.
Here is what I would do if I were the Sixers.
1. Draft Exum with #3
2. #10 take Gordon
3. trade Thad Young to the Celtics for #17 + Olynk (could probably get a better pick for Young just saying)
4. At #17 draft Saric (if he is still there, people have been saying his stock has fallen significantly)
5. Then after the draft I would take on players with expiring contracts that teams are trying to move to sign big name players for future picks (names that come to mind, T. Prince, Steve Nash, etc.)
Continue to rebuild properly by sucking for another year or two to get some more top picks and just roll with a roster like this next year
Exum
MCW
Prince
Gordon
Noel/ Olynk

You're right. As a Wolves fan I'm constantly looking for lop sided for The Wolves trades. The 6ers could easily get the 7 pick if they wanted. If I was the 76ers I'd
1. Offer the Lakers MCW for Nash and 7
2. Draft Exum at 3
3. Draft Vonleh/Randle/Embiid at 7
4. Draft Stauskas at 10
5. Trade Thad Young and J Rich to Chicago for Boozer and 17
Draft Nurkic at 17
Fill out roster on one or two year deals
Exum Nash
Stauskas
FA
Randle Boozer
Noel

Re: Back to the draft...
Report tonight that Utah has offered Cleveland a package of Favors and #5 for the #1 pick. While I've always hoped Cleveland would offer the #1 pick for Love, this deal almost makes more sense for them. Utah wants to land Parker at literally any cost.

Re: Back to the draft...
Who would do #1 for #5 and Favors if the Wolves trade Hummel for the first pick?
