What could we even get for Rubio? I love the guy, and his potential, but he could bring back something significant. A team that needs a facilitator, but already has a player that can penetrate would be ideal. Would Cleveland deal Waiters for Rubio? Waiters would be a much-needed scoring punch off the bench or even let him work PG for now until there's a better option.

Maybe a mid-2014 draft pick? I'm thinking out loud. Anybody like to chime in?

Rubio just tweeted out: "Tough one..."

I think you're undervaluing him, cam. I've listened to too many opponent's announcers drooling over him to give him up for so little. I was thinking something more like a 2014 lottery pick, preferably one that has a chance to be a good one, plus a serviceable point guard. I think Rubio is so overvalued that some rebuilding team makes that trade, and so would I.

I don't see how a team would offer a lottery pick in 2014 for Rubio, but if that got offered, I'm all for it. Draft Marcus Smart or Zach LaVine. Go with a guy that can score this time.

If the Bucks want to deal why not aim for Mayo? Who the hell really knows though. But I really do believe this team needs a shakeup. I personally would like that to start with Adelman, and it is not because I think Adelman is a bad coach. I think the league is changing and Adelman is not the guy who is going to be part of our long term adjustment to those changes. I think the biggest thing is that the majority of players are underclassmen coming into the league now. I think the Celtics had it right in finding a young college guy who wants to mold players. I would like to see us make a move like that before flipping around our roster. I think what we are seeing is that this is not working, Adelman was supposed to be the calming influence in these situations with his experience, but he isn't getting through. It doesn't mean that Adelman isn't a great basketball mind, he is. I feel he has lost his players with all his talk about execution and playing better. I think it could very easily get worse. I would like to see him gone before having a fresh set of eyes evaluate our roster from the inside.

I'd wait until we know what Love's going to do before we get rid of a coach that he's likely all the way behind.

The flip side of that is that Adelman stays we ad one more decent player and then everyone leaves after a first round exit next year. The whole program is messed right now, Love could easily leave anyway even if we keep Adelman around. I think we can't worry about whether or not he leaves and just make the most of the future outlook for the franchise while he is still here. The win now model we have constructed is a failure as far as I can see it. Now that we are almost 30 games into the season I don't think anyone can consider our peak potential as anything above a 6 seed and a first round exit. And that is with some serious question marks to the long term durability to some of our key pieces (Martin and Bud most notably).

If we actually climbed to 6th seed, we'd likely be matched up on the Clippers in the first round. I don't know about you, but through the three games we've played against them, I can definitely see us getting to the second round. All three games "should have" been wins for us. Maybe they'll set a learning curve for the guys. Silver lining right there... ugh.

*Getting to 6th seed feels distant right now, but with a good next month, we could get there. PHO, DAL, DEN, GS and LAL are the teams ahead of us.

A telling stat: Kevin Martin averages 1.5 turnovers per game. Tonight against Clippers, he had 6. Every one of them were killers.
