- 90 seconds in... Randle just stood at the top of the key. Spurs player sneaked in and grabbed the rebound. Randle fouled him in a "fake hustle" play.

- 2:30 in... Edwards drives, gets fouled between the foul line and block... but he doesn't shoot it. Side out of bounds. That's two points left on the court. And it illustrates the difference between Edwards and stars like SGA and others. HE MUST LEARN TO EMBELLISH. (Ethical hoops is for losers.)

- Castle gets a dunk because Randle doesn't switch the PnR.

- Wolves put Gobert on Castle... well... whoops. Nothing working in this game from the coaches to the players.

- Spurs get an and-one layup after Randle bungles the PnR again... leaving a wide open lane.

- Naz Reid. I can't imagine the Wolves coming back in this one... but if they do... thank you Naz Reid. He's the only guy playing remotely hard and it shows with 8 quick points.

- Conley knocked the ball off Harper. Then, comes right back and hits a three. The remarkable thing with the three was that I swear he hesitated for just a split second after catching it and before shooting. Almost like one deep breath. It's like he knew that could be his last NBA bucket so don't miss it. Cool moment.

- Castle just overpowered Ant in the post. Whoa. WOE.

- Ok. This is where I couldn't keep up. The Wolves seemed to make some sort of mistake on 2 out of every 3 trips for a very long spell. A missed boxout. A silly pass. A lost rotation. A bumbled rebound. And the Spurs are relentless on the other end.

- Much like the play earlier... Randle is at the top of the key area and just stands there as the Spurs cut in front of him for the long loose ball rebound. Ends up with a three pointer out of it.

- Randle and Edwards just quit on the court with about 9 minutes left.

- I have not been an incessant Randle basher... but my god... is that the worst playoff effort in NBA history? Just a brutal series... and he just kept getting worse. I don't see any way that Randle plays another game in Minnesota. Just brutal.

- For those wanting change (sans coach), get ready. This team is going to look different next season. I'm guessing that both Gobert and Randle are gone. I just don't know what they're getting back for either of them.

- Rough week for Minnesota sports fans. Which is worse? A choke job after being up 3 - 0... or whatever this is?
Thank you for these all season, always a fun read
Completely agree...a marvelous combination of humor and basketball wisdom. One of many features that makes this board so special for us loyal Wolves fans.

My last post was asking whether or not the Wolves could play defense in this game. The answer was no.

Now there was a chunk of time in the first half the offense was a struggle but then they got out of that and made a run and there were times they got excellent looks in the 2nd half and simply couldn't make them. Meanwhile you have Champagnie out there getting wide open 3's as a PF making what seemed like half of them.

I agree with Abe's post it seems like y there will be some sort of legit change to the roster. Based on what Connelly has done before...all bets are off except Edwards and McDaniels and probably Beringer. This was a tough series in terms of injuries matchup etc etc but the Wolves got blown away in this game and SVG is right they need more talent. I wouldn't break the bank to keep Ayo although I'm obviously willing to give him at least the mid level etc.

TSJ should either be starting next year or be the first guy off the bench. That's the silver lining of this playoffs.
