Bleed what is your draft grade on the Cook pick? I'll hang up and listen.
Ok I'll add that I think Cook is a much better talent than any offensive lineman they could have taken and some of those safties were off the board too. If they felt good about taking the guy with whatever issues he had it was probably a no brainer.

Elflein with the first 3rd round pick. Nice
they gave up their 5th rounder to move up. Feeney went the next pick.

Divided on Cook. To me he seems like a knucklehead. Fumbles a lot. Thought he was overated, but solid pick in second round. I was a fan of trading down and looking to get another pick in 3rd or 4th round.

I like Elfein a lot, but liked Dorian Johnson and Jaleel Johnson better, but neither are off thr board at watching at 93rd pick. Also really like Desmond King still on the board.

Elfein just seems like the type of guy they need to add to the line. I actually like how they traded back also. I feel like they got a couple players they really wanted at positions they were looking to fill and now they have a bigger bucket of guys to pick from and maybe they will get a couple of guys you mentioned Bleed I don't remember any of them getting picked and they have the 2nd pick in the 4th round.
Edit: I just looked Bleed's picks are all there.
Also I can't believe CJ Bethard Pick for the 49ers. It was worth all the time watching the draft to experience the reaction from the draft coverage on NFL.com when that pick was announced. lol
meanwhile the Browns get a QB prospect in the 2nd round in Kizer that seems to have about as good of a chance to be good as some of the guys picked much higher.

Yeah, both him and Mixon are knuckleheads. I did like them both and Kamara at our pick. Torn on who was better between the three. I don't want to see another Waynes instead of Peters deal.

Morning after. How can you not like that we picked up 2 starters for 2017 season? Elfien can play and is a leader.
I would but Hunt, Cook, Mixon, and Kamara on the same tier. Cook and Mixon both had off the field issues. Mixon seemed thought worse seemed to distance himself from them. Cook hopefully will leave his problems and entourage in Miami. Kamara I had concerns about being a 3 down back and remember him having some knee issues. Hunt didn't have any physical or off the field concerns, but might be a little slower, but he doesn't fumble. I guess I would have felt better about him than the others and we could have traded down to get him.
I really liked the next tier of RBs though. Foreman, Marlon, Perine, and Connor. Perine and Marlon are left. I really think we have not seen the best of Connor. He is going to get stronger.
It would be a fun day at US Bank for the draft party. 7 picks today. and 2nd pick of day. Still need LB, S, DT, G, TE, OT depth, and DE depth,
Here are guys left on my board by round in no order.
4th Rounders
Dorian Johnson, G, Pitt - I have a man crush on him. Would be a 10-year starter next to Elfein.
Jaleel Johnson. DT, Iowa - Pass rushing DT
Carl Lawson DE/OLB, Auburn - DE with 4.6 speed that might be best inside in 4-3 next to NT.
Marlon Mack, RB, South Florida - Big play 3 down back
Isaac Asiata, OG, Utah - Mauler
Jake Butt, TE, Michigan - Good 3 down TE with good catch radius
Desmond King. S/CB, Iowa - sure tackler and good IQ
Samaje Perine, RB, Oklahoma - Power back
Joshua Dobbs, QB, Tennessee - Raw tools to you want.
Nathan Peterman, QB, Pittsburgh - My personal favorite QB left
Blair Brown, LB, Ohio - Tackling machine with one missed tackle all last year.
Vince Biegel, LB,DE - Solid 3 down OLB that had foot problems.
5th Rounders
Ryan Glasgow, DT, Michigan - High motor DT
George Kittle, TE, Iowa - Blocker that might be able to catch
Jeremy Sprinkle, TE Arkansas - TE that can play inline or move. Blocker and receiver.
Will Holden, OT, Vanderbilt - Project LT with all the tools
Mack Hollins, WR, North Carolina - Tall Depth threat that averaged 20+ a catch.
6th Rounders
Hunter Dimick, DE/DT, Utah - High motor DE
T.J. Logan, RB , North Carolina - Fasted RB in the draft yet still over 200lbs.
Brian Allen, CB, Utah - Tall fast CB with all the tools. Converted WR that is still raw. Rhodes upside
Nathan Gerry, S, Nebraska - High motor and iQ
7th Rounders
Joe Williams, RB, Utah - Speed back that will be available late.
Aviante Collins, OG/OT, TCU - Develop G
Glover Stewart, NT/DT, Albany State - Huge NT that can move and eat double teams
Stevie Tu'Ikolovatu, DT, USC - Run stopper
Damien Mama. C, USC - Mauling RG
Kyle Kalis, G, Michigan - High motor RG
Josh Carraway. LB/DE , TCU - Speed and length project
David Jones, S, Richmond - Played CB and has size
Jahu Chesson, WR, Michigan - Physical WR

Here is what I would love to see happen. I would shop 109th pick hard threating to take QB. For a top ten pick in 4th and 5th rounder.
Round 4
Pick 2, #109 overall - Desmond King. S/CB, Iowa - new starter next to Smith
Pick 14, #120 overall - Jaleel Johnson. DT, Iowa - Starting DT
Pick 26, #132 overall - Dorian Johnson, G, Pitt - Starter at RG
LB Plan - Blair Brown, LB, Ohio or Carl Lawson, DE/OLB/DT, Auburn or Vince Biegel, OLB/DE, Wisconsin
TE Plan - Jake Butt, TE, Michigan
QB Plan - Joshua Dobbs, QB, Tennessee or Nathan Peterman, QB, Pittsburgh
OG Plan - Isaac Asiata, OG, Utah or Will Holden, OT, Vanderbilt or Jermaine Eluemunor, OT, Texas A&M
Round 5
No picks
Round 6
Pick 15, #199 overall - Hunter Dimick, DE/DT, Utah or Brian Allen, CB, Utah
Really anyone that might fall.
Round 7
Pick 1, #219 overall Glover Stewart, NT/DT, Albany State
Pick 14, #232 overall - Stevie Tu'Ikolovatu, DT, USC - Run stopper
Pick 27, #245 overall - David Jones, S, Richmond - Played CB and has size
Plan B Josh Carraway. LB/DE , TCU or Kyle Kalis, G, Michigan

Still can't believe Carl Lawson is still on the board. Must have some medical red flags from his injuries in 2014 and 2015. He seems like a guy that if he can bulk up and stay healthy could play that John Randle role for us.

ESPN Insider Overview

Production-2
Height-Weight-Speed-3
Durability-4
Intangibles-1
Pass Rush Skills-2
Adequate first step quickness to threaten the edge. Fires off with quality pad level and leverage. Strong upper body and powerful in his lower half. Converts speed-to-power well at times and flashes ability to rock blockers back on heels (See: Play 60 vs Ole Miss OT Laremy Tunsil 2015). Quick and efficient hands. Does a nice job of attacking outside leverage point. But he has some stiffness, and really struggles to change directions and to run a tight loop. Capable of driving the OL back initially with speed-to-power but frequently stalls out if he doesn't have a secondary move to exploit off-balance OL. Sack production improved during healthiest season in 2016 (nine sacks) but finished his 34-game career with just 14 sacks.
Versus the run-1
Hard edge setter. Plays with consistent leverage. Powerful upper body. Heavy hands and flashes some shock with his punch. Strong anchor and displays the ability to dig cleat in the ground and reset leverage when initially giving ground against more powerful blockers. Does a nice job of keeping outside arm free when having edge responsibility. Quality hand fighter to shed when locked in a phone booth. Adequate closing burst and range. Can do a better job of finishing as a tackler especially in the open field.
Versatility-2
Versatile edge defender who can line up at DE for a base 4-3 scheme with experience and enough athleticism to potentially convert to a standup OLB role in a 3-4 front. Also has experience reducing inside in pass rushing situations but mostly struggles in that role.
Instincts/Motor-1
Tone setter with an excellent motor. Plays physical game. Brawler that loves to mix it up. Fights through the whistle and works to carry out assignment. Chases and gives quality effort in pursuit. Works as hard off the field as he does on it.
Overview
Lawson had his healthiest and most productive season in 2016, when he racked up 13.5 TFL and nine sacks. He's a sawed-off Tasmanian devil of an edge defender with a great passion for the game. He is stout against the run and brings a strong combination of quickness and power as a pass rusher. However, Lawson is shorter than ideal and comes with a history of durability problems (Missed entire 2014 season with a torn ACL; Missed six games in 2015 with a hip injury). Lawson grades out as a later Day 2 pick for teams that are comfortable with him medically. -March 13, 2017
