Yes, we are going to be a lot to handle. How does Golden State beat us? I don't think they can.

They have a Wiggins, the Wolves don't, that is how!

This. A million times this. To hell with small ball. Make teams adjust to us and exploit them.

Agreed, we weren't going to out shoot a team that has 2 of the premier shooters of all time.

Jazz fan from Australia here, and big Rudy fan. You guys have certainly pushed all your chips in, it's a gamble that has a high variability of outcome. I think it depends on the chemistry that your guys can mesh with. Couple of things to point out, as far as the rivalry between KAT and Rudy there was a similar scenario with Rudy and Whiteside this season and they got on like a house on fire, no problem there at all.

Rudy is all about winning and until you watch him a lot you don't realise exactly how many little things he does that contribute to winning. He's actually a lot better perimeter defender than he's given credit for, i can absolutely say the Jazz's problems against small ball teams were our guards perimeter defense was garbage and Rudy was trying to cover the whole team allowing penetration way too easily.

I'll be watching the Wolves next season, should be fascinating to see how it works but if the coach figures out how to utilize all the pieces you'll win 55 games and be in the top 4 in the West

I'm surprised to hear some of DLO's biggest critics not mention that fact considering the same thing happened to DLO in the playoffs and that's all we heard from some of his haters! Is that suddenly not important when it involves a player you like???

You're right that it does matter. I didn't watch much of that series and I'm coming down a bit on ayton, But I still hate this trade. I keep forgetting that we gave up bolmaro too. The value of this trade is horrendous and I think anyone who doesn't admit that is lying to themselves. It feels like the hershel walker trade. I really feel like TC took the easy way on this, figuring that he's either a hero if we win a title or if it blows up, he won't be here when we lose all the picks. I don't respect that. I think it's lazy and irresponsible to the future of the organization. I can enjoy Gobert being here while also hating the trade that brought him in... that's what I intend to do at this point.

When I'm playing heads up poker against someone I know is better than me, I go all in a lot more, hoping to get lucky. I feel like that's what TC did here. He knew he didn't have the skill to keep building this the right way, so he went all in Gobert. If we win a title, TC is the hero and nobody will care what we gave up. It doesn't take any skill to buy the great player that someone else already discovered and developed, all it takes is a blank check from the owners on both money and future assets. I hate the trade but I think I hate it even more that we had to pay a guy 8 mil a year to come in for this.

CoolBreeze44 wrote:As usual you're wrong about DLO, but you are spot on about McDaniels being kept out. It shows a tremendous amount of optimism regarding him and I think it's great. We are going to win a lot of games and it is going to be fun to be a Wolves fan again. The only negative is the constant DLO nutsucking we are going to have to continue to read from you. We all know how you feel about him (1 million times over), can you do us a favor and impose a DLO moratorium on yourself? The board would be so much more enjoyable.

This continues to be personal for you somehow. If you don't enjoy the board because of my presence or you are triggered by my responses to other people here, simply ignore what I say or leave the board. Nobody else will call you out on it, but this type of response is entirely uncalled for and it's typical of the personality you've always been here.

Let's not make this thread about anything besides Timberwolves basketball and the acquisition of Rudy Gobert.

You are so full of bullshit. It's not me or anybody else that makes every thread about DLO, it's you. I've tried to ignore you but it becomes impossible with some of the stupid things you say. I'll do my best to ignore you, I promise. But no more leaving the board for me. There are too many great fans on here to let you ruin it for me.

Cry about it. You're far too old to be whining like a spoiled child that doesn't get their way. Enough is enough.

I respond to questions and comments that concern all matters of this franchise. I typically try to interact with everyone here instead of responding to a select few. Obviously, D'Angelo Russell is a polarizing player, especially on this board, so more discussions have concerned him. Your behavior is unacceptable. Move on already.

Nice, play the age card. Stay classy Cam. You don't have any idea how old I am.

To be fair... doesn't really matter if it's 16 or 56... things can get pretty heated and silly around here sometimes.

Kind of like when you called me the old man yelling at kids to stay off his yard.

LOL.

I think I've also mentioned me putting the hose on those pesky kids to get off my lawn. It's a tried-and-true trope. Nothing to get too bent out of shape about.

The Wolves' 2 highest usage roll-men last season, KAT and Naz Reid, converted on 5 alley-oops... COMBINED

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet. But D'Angelo Russell and Rudy gobert together might be awesome.

Dude, there is literally nothing in the known universe that when combined with Dlo equals awesome. Nothing. Will we be a lot better? Yes. Will it be because of Dlo? No. Every GM in the league except Rosas agrees with me... just sayin

This team is so intriguing now. Its very exciting that we are forging our own identity. I could really care less about our 2025 and 2027 draft pick at this point. We're legitimately 7 deep right now with some nice end of bench pieces. Lots of talent for trades if its not working. I will miss Pat Bev but that is nothing to what we will gain. Go Wolves!!!

- After only one season getting out of the 1st round.
- After only 10 playoff seasons in 33 years.
- After 13 straight non-playoff seasons recently.
- After (15) 51+ loss seasons but only (1) 51+ win seasons.

The Wolves will be good. We can't do anything about the woulda/coulda/shoulda angst over the future picks.

So let's enjoy the moment.
