This is much more the direction I hope the Wolves go. We havent had a bruiser on the roster since Pek. I want someone who can deliver some pain down low.
Ugh. I'm gonna have to cheer through gritted teeth with both him and Beverley pulling their antics.
BUT... he's on a reasonable expiring deal and can put the ball in the bucket in limited minutes. As discussed here previously, he's just destroyed the Wolves over the years.
I have to imagine he could be had without giving up too much in return.

But what's the catch with this guy? He's started like 29 out of 433 NBA games despite putting up some really gaudy stats. I mean, he's a walking dunk machine that puts a ton of pressure on the rim. Prince may actually get even hotter with all those wide open corner 3's that could open up!
Is he just a sieve defensively? Foul too much? Selfish?

I'd like to see Beasley & Layman two 2nds for E. Gordon and use the open roster spot to get a vet that's cut.
Also Okogie for a 2nd would be nice.
Could Beasley for Nurkic be done with Portland?
I want no parts of A. Len & R. Lopez as I would literally rather see Naz, Knight or small ball.

Montrezl Harrell would be a big upgrade off the bench. I get that. I just don't think he really solves anything for Minnesota. He's an average, at best, defender and he's undersized. If the goal is to add real size, then he's not the guy. If you're just wanting a boost to the second unit anywhere you can get it, then fine. But the Wolves' current problems would remain.
I also think any trade that improves the backup five spot should include Naz Reid. We're not doing ourselves or him any favors by burying him on the end of the bench. We could be looking at Reid, Josh Okogie, and Jake Layman for Harrell. Maybe the Wolves include a second-round pick for the Wizards taking on multiple players. Okogie could also be re-routed -- to Utah, for example -- if need be.

I think we still have a problem banging down low with teams. Harrell solves that issue when we need it. I think a Reid package for Harrell would be a smart move.

I agree that bigger opposing frontcourts cause Minnesota issues, but I wonder how much a 6'7, 240-pound Montrezl Harrell would really counter that. He's definitely an upgrade. He'd definitely be an awesome pick-and-roll big that could pressure the rim. I just don't think Harrell necessarily fixes anything for Minnesota.
I agree it could be a smart move. I don't necessarily think it's the
best move. That probably explains my position on Harrell the best. I wouldn't hate it, but I wouldn't love it either.

If Minnesota wasn't filled with a bunch of stupidity, they would make the Boston deal and then just sign a FA big.

I don't think they are getting stupid on that. (I would rather have Beasley instead of Richardson but that isn't the point). The Wolves would also being acquiring Nesmith or Langford so they would not have an open roster spot to sign a big. I don't think Richardson for Beasley straight up doesn't help the Celtics because they would add 3 million in salary and they already trying to get under the cap.
Also I just don't know what big is available that would really help out via free agency.

How about a Harrell and Gafford for Prince and Reid type deal? Maybe we can add in a 2nd rounder.

Bradly Beal out for the year I'm guess that means Harrell will be shipped out for sure
