It is Valentine's day! He has a little Brandon Roy to him. I would take him over Hield.

A little, although Roy had a deadly change of pace move where he could explode to the hoop and finish or draw contact. Valentine doesn't quite have that kind of explosiveness to his game. I see him more like an Evan Turner or Kyle Anderson type, except better because of his outside shot. But I don't think he has elite scoring potential.

Q- Great points. I wonder about the fit of him on this team. I think we will draft in an area that will have multiple talents at that point that work for us and all be at the same level of talent. I would likely go PG/PF over SG/SF, but if Valentine is there he is a good player for sure.
I thinking we will be looking at Elleson, Poetl, Baldwin, Murray, and Sabonis when we draft. I am a little leary of drafting some of these guy that have not shown anything in college. Sabonis seems like the type of PF that would be perfect next to Towns. I see him moving up the boards. Baldwin is putting up good numbers as a 19 year old. I think he might be a similar level talent as Dunn. Less of a true PG at this point but moving up the boards.

I would lean Felder, but wouldn't mind either in the second. I like them both. I just don't know if Tyus is an NBA PG.

Someone else coming to the Sabonis side! Glad to hear. I like him over Elleson for sure. Baldwin > Murray as well. Poeltl is an interesting pick for us. At least he is in my opinion. I see Sabonis and Towns proving to be a superior tandem to Poeltl and Towns.
Ingram > Simmons > Dunn > Bender > Brown > Sabonis > Poeltl > Rabb > Valentine ( Valentine may be 5-7 range by the end of this year).
That's how the first round is ranking for me at the moment. Skal, I am totally unsure of.

Here's a good read on some of the fast risers: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2602117-the-5-biggest-early-risers-in-2016-nba-draft-conversation This board has discussed some of them: Denzel Valentine, Pat McCaw and Kay Felder. Also Deyonta Davis gets some love as a power forward prospect. I like pretty much all these guys and if I had a first rounder around 8-14 , I'd give Valentine and Davis some serious consideration. And McCaw could be there when we pick in the second round and he'd be a great pick.

I wonder when Andrew White III is gonna get at least a write up from DX. He just put up 35 the other day against Penn State. He was advertised as a shooter and he has been doing just that. He was a top 50 or so recruit coming into Kansas so it's not like he is completely coming out of nowhere. I'm not saying he should be considered an NBA draft pick but I would think he is playing enough to be on the radar of pro teams both here and internationally.

So, I've been watching more of Sabonis lately. He's risen on my personal list of draft hopefuls. I'm very impressed with him. Love his footwork (absurdly good for a 19 year old) in the post and his defense. Strong in both areas. Would like to see him continue dominating the rest of the season. Could definitely be in play for us if he declared.
Edit: I love this kid.

This is WAY off topic, but did anyone see Sports Center last night where they highlighted that 3 point shooter from Oakland? On the season, he has taken 204 shots....with all 204 shots being from 3 land. He has made them at a 48% clip. Took another 8 shots last night and made 4....all from 3. I have never seen anything like it.
