We need to make a Kansas trifecta happen this offseason, I don't want Chalmers, can we get Danny Manning to be an assistant?
Wolves fan commiserate here!

This idea that Dunn can play significant time at the 2 is just not one I can endorse at this point. Two summer league games just isn't enough for me. I sincerely hope everybody else is right and I am wrong. So instead of hammering on this point for the next couple months, I'm just going to resort to being a cheerleader on the topic and hope it works out the way the majority thinks it will. It would certainly make us a much more dangerous team and provide greater flexibility.
Can you actually go into specifics as to why you believe this instead of just saying you can't see how it would work? Is it Dunn's size, length, shooting? What makes it so far fetched in your mind that it's a possibility Dunn can play a decent amount at the 2? His two summer league games were against guys in NBA backcourt rotations and he held up fine so what is it that is keeping him from being a playable guy at the 2? I get that it's just gonna be an agree to disagree situation, but so far you've mostly been in the just can't see it camp instead of saying here's why I don't think it will work camp. Maybe I missed it, but refresh me why you don't think it can work. You seem to be pretty well set it's not gonna work so convince us or at least try as to why it won't.

On 2nd thought, maybe I haven't explained myself as much as I could have. I'll be brief:
I'm not convinced Dunn can knock down outside shots consistently enough at the NBA level, especially from behind the arc. When you pair two guards (Rubio, Dunn) who struggle from the outside you become much more easy as a team to defend. It's bad enough when the D can sag off of one player, but when you don't have to respect the outside shot of 2, it makes it much more tough on your front court to score. In this day of the proliferation of the 3 point shot, I think we will be at a real disadvantage.
A secondary reason is that Dunn has very good point guard skills, and I think he is best with the ball in his hands. Playing the shooting guard position is going to limit his time with the rock, and I don't think that is a good thing.

Thanks for the explanation. I'm ready to move on as you suggested.
How do you think the Bulls are going to make it work with Rondo Wade and Butler? :)
