Thanks for all the thoughts Bleed. It's great to have Future join the party.

It's kinda great that it's pretty easy to be happy going into day 3 with only 2 picks so far but the outcome looks good with those 2 players and plenty of intruiging players left with plenty of picks as well.

I am pretty happy too. If we address DT, LB, and S we will have nailed this draft. We have 7 chances to do it. I don't think the Vikings like Desmond King as much as me. They like bigger DBs.

I just saw that Kiper posted his top 25 for day 3
#1 - Carl Lawson - DE
#4 - Desmond King - CB/S
#5 - Jaleel Johnson - DT
#19 Dorian Johson - G

And I also welcome Future. I wish I could go down to US Bank today, but have a friend that rented a space for B-day party today.

I think we have 2 decent picks so far, but stacking up picks for the later rounds seems like a poor strategy given our recent track record. I know Spielman likes his 10 picks, but what good is that if you cut 4-7 of them every year because they're all later round guys that can't even make the team?

Well to me it makes sense if you have a bunch of guys rated about the same move down and have the opportunity to get 2 of them or add a 7th rounder. Maybe you end up cutting a 6th or 7th rounder but you get to pick them before anyone else and that means you get to have your shot at them instead of another team picking them or signing them as a FA. He already moved up a couple times to get guys they wanted so it's not like they have been doing the shotgun approach.

Jaleel Johnson one of Bleed's guys with the first 4th. Herein with the next pick I don't remeber him being a Bleed guy.

Got Jaleel Johnson. Now Ben Gideon. So much for Kendricks at MLB. Not a fan of that pick because I worry about him getting exposed in coverage. Why not Blair Brown?

From McShay's draft guide.

Linebacker

Best in coverage

1. Reuben Foster, Alabama
2. Duke Riley, LSU
3. Blair Brown, Ohio

Best tackler

1. Blair Brown, Ohio
2. Reuben Foster, Alabama
3. Raekwon McMillan, Ohio State

Best instincts

1. Duke Riley, LSU
2. Ben Gedeon, Michigan
3. Jalen Reeves-Maybin, Tennessee

I did and that is Big Ben. Just like a lot of other guys still on the board. Desmond King is still on the board. Jim Thorpe winner 2015 as best DB.

Another McShay. Also talk was about him moving to safety and that he was the best tackling corner incollege.

Defensive back

Best ball skills overall

1. Malik Hooker, S, Ohio State
2. Adoree' Jackson, CB, USC
3. Eddie Jackson, S, Alabama
4. Jadar Johnson, S, Clemson
5. Desmond King, CB, Iowa

King finished his career with 33 pass breakups and 13 interceptions, consistently attacking the ball as if he were the intended target.

I am wondering if King is a guy that is talented but isn't the disciplined guy they want in addition to both position flexibility and...where does he play. Don't get me wrong I like him that's just what hit me last night reading some about him.

So I think I am with you I like the Ben pick just not at the spot they got him.

WR Adams and Guard Isidora in the 5th. I like both picks. Adams looks like a guy you get the ball to and he does some good stuff. My guy Nate Gerry goes with the last pick of the 5th round to the Eagles.
