The Grizzlies aren't willing to offer Tony Allen more than the veteran's minimum this summer, according to sources of Memphis beat reporter Ronald Tillery.
These are some of the cheap free agent opportunities we should be able to find. Allen at $2-3 million would be nice.

A long list of playoff teams, or even teams with Finals aspirations, would be standing in front of the Wolves for Allen at that price.

And we already have Dunn to fill that role. We need shooting more than defense on the wing, but we definitely need both. Tony would be almost unplayable on our team next to Ricky and Dunn. I'd pass on that one.

I'd love Tony Allen from a pure "hope he rubs off on the young guys" perspective. Would love a grinder like that around. But I agree with the others that it's likely not to happen and it would be tough to find him meaningful minutes, especially when LaVine gets back.
Forwards is where we have needs. 3's, 4's and guys that can do both.

If overpaying to say 6 million a year for a couple years gets Tony Allen here sign me up. Play him 15mpg in the type of role Tayshaun Prince should have been playing a couple years ago for the Wolves and live with the results both good and bad.

I would be in favor of this too. Allen is the kind of guy who would really help us for 2 years, but for whom many other teams struggling with cap space won't pay $6 million. I think Allen would be a great signing at 2/10 or even 2/12.

Hmm... This will make an impact on how much FAs can get this offseason!

Fairly significant last-second wrinkle for teams prepping for Draft/FA: league says cap for next year around $99M, down from expected $102M.

Nick Young is opting out of his contract.
"Source: New Orleans Pelicans guard Tim Frazier has been traded to the Washington Wizards in exchange for the No. 52 pick."
That seems like Trey Burke will be even more available. Nobody else is intruiged by him but I am especially if the price is low.
