Crowder and Brown are not Scorers. They need a wing who can score.

I understand that (though Brown is actually developing nicely in that regard), and I know Hayward is no guarantee. But Crowder, Brown, Tatum all at the 3 - makes zero sense. This will impede the progress of either Brown or Tatum. Isaac could at least develop into a 4,which they have zero of.

They made a mistake not cashing in for Porzingis while Jackson was on the board, or Butler with #3, Bradley/Smart, and other picks.

They must be banking on Griffin for 65 games a year.

Yeah, I really can't believe they didn't make a run toward Butler, which is why I felt we had no chance. They have a gazillion assets to throw at Chicago (or NY if they wanted Zingy). They needed another shot creator to take the load off IT. I realize their answer to that is Tatum, so that pick made sense, but we've seen how even the best promising 19-year olds struggle like hell.

My guess is he will play a lot of 4 this year.....

The Dunc'd on podcast guys thought that the Bulls likely still really valued Dunn. That makes the most sense to me. If they for some reason still thought Dunn was the promising guy so many people considered him a year ago...that makes him a valued part of the offer. They seem to value other team PGs and have traded for them...

Grant from the Knicks
MCW from the Bucks
Cameron Payne OKC (gave up quite a bit for him)
Dunn

They also threw money at Rondo or a short term deal. That's 5 PGs they have acquired in less than 12 months. A couple of those deals are relatively minor moves more of a throwing a dart and hoping they work out. It does seem possible they really valued Dunn pretty highly even though that seems shaky at this point and I haven't given up on the guy.

I'll say this here...I do still believe in Lavine's talent but after listening to folks I feel so watch all around the league and some are even fans of his...I feel like I had some serious rose colored glasses on. I still really like the guy and will be following his career but yeah.

I think the Celtics are 100% all in on signing Hayward first and then making a trade. A Butler trade would have had to send more out than they got back to keep that cap space and there's no way that was happening with the cheap Bulls. I think you'll see them get Hayward and then make a deal for PG that will finally include some of their assets they have been holding on to this whole time.

Yep. And guess what PG does that the Celtics and the league value more highly than ever? He takes and makes a lot of 3's.

Local piece on Patton. He sounds pretty serious about basketball. Obviously it's a hometowns spinnbut it's a good read imo.
