Ricky would help stabilize that position for them to try for a playoff push. Faried is almost exactly what this team needs. He plugs in at the 4 and he brings a passion and energy this team needs out on the court. He's always been efficient and in the right situations (like for team USA) he's shown to be a good interior defender and rebounder. It pushes Dieng to the bench giving us a much needed stabilizing force for our bigs off the bench who have been very inconsistent.
I agree with a lot of this. The only thing I'll add is that they may not make that particular trade because of Jamal Murray and not Emmanuel Mudiay, but that's splitting hairs.

I'm not an expert, but that group looks really good defensively and as you said, the numbers support their effectiveness as well. Sabonis doesn't block/alter shots at the rim, but he's capable of doing everything else at a level well above the average rookie. And Oladipo instead of Waiters is like Leonard over Muhammad. There's a massive difference there.
Ibaka was a key ingredient in the top-level defenses OKC trotted out there over the past eight years. I'm not gonna ignore that unless there are better reasons to do so.
Sabonis isn't rebounding well either (5.8 per 36!!!). And rookies are almost always negatives on defense, especially as starters. Ibaka hasn't made a difference in Orlando either.....His DRPM is going down, not up. I'm just not sure he's the same player he was 3 or 4 years ago.

What would it take to get Faried? He would be perfect on this team.

I've campaigned for Faried in the past. He would be a great energy guy for us. Just not sure what Denver would want.

I would only want to take on Biyombo if they basically paid us to take him and that price would be Hezonja. I would love Gordon, but that is not happening. The downside is you are giving the Magic room to sign Ibaka. If you are serious about signing him as a FA you don't do it.
I have a hard time when it comes to any deal that involves the Orlando Magic. I literally have no idea what they might do or won't do. My typical logic doesn't compute. Lol

Remeber that some dude names Westbrook is averaging over 10 rebs per game so he is probably stealing some rebounds from bigger players. It's still impressive though because OKC has big players with a tendency to rebound well including Sabonis at least based on his college game anyway.
Cam I've always liked Ibaka but at this point he feels like a guy that's overrated to some extent. On the other hand I could see him being that iggy type player a team puts quite a bit into getting and he turns out to be a important player to a team looking to win a championship. I know we need a vet and a better player but Idk if he is the right guy to invest in if that makes sense.

Woj and Marks both said Denver is a team that seems like one a number of teams would be calling because they have a mix of younger players and vets with value like Fariid. They kinda touched on it but Denver has plenty of talent so what exactly are you going to offer them to have them move a vet player? Rubio doesn't seem like enough of an upgrade to move Fariid when they have 3 options at PG right now with Murray Mudiay and Nelson. Bazz? They have that type of guy in Barton only he is better.
They also said teams have done their research on Noel and the reports coming back have not been favorable. They said there has been reports he has not handled himself very well with everything that is going on in Philly and that's another reason nobody want to give up much to get him. I found that interesting.

We should go after another Cole Aldrich. That'll solve our problems in the frontcourt.
{Highly sarcastic response. Not a shot aimed your way, monster. Just tired of this franchise not going after real difference makers. How many Greg Stiemsma, Cole Aldrich types are we gonna go through before we realize you don't normally get meaningful talent in the clearance rack. Best free agent signing in recent memory was Kevin Martin!... Kevin Martin!}

I get where you are coming from but there is only so much money they can spend...at some point. Woj and Marks were talking about whether GS is going to be able to afford to keep Iggy or Livingston because what they could cost while paying everyone else. Ibaka is a guy any team would like to have it's just how much exactly are you going to have to pay for what he will provide? Idk I haven't seen him play enough to have a super strong take but what I saw of him last year...I wouldn't want to pay him something close to the max which I would assume he is going to get. I wonder if the Wolves could take a chance on a guy with Lower value (might quite cost less financially) like Noel instead. Idk it's tricky.

Noel isn't happy. I wish the Wolves had something half decent to send over there to take a chance on him. Some people would say we could send Rubio but apparently the Sixers are serious about playing Simmons as a PG. I don't see Bazz as a fit for them either since he doesn't handle the ball well or hit outside shots. It would be nice if somehow this team could avoid some of the drama some of the other young teams have. I know I know I'm dreaming. Lol
