Buying what take? Why do you think this is a microcosm?

I'm not disputing that people have every right to voice their displeasure at a football game or whatever... only the implication that there are all these people out there with no other outlets for their political/social takes so this is what they need to do to finally be heard in 2021.
A microcosm... I think social media has allowed smaller, louder factions a larger mouthpiece to get their views heard. It's been an impressive grassroots phenomenon that has been incredibly successful.
If you judge a great number of the popular memes, videos and other things online... you'd think 90% of the country were rabid predatory Trump racists or wailing, screaming, violent transsexuals. In real life, a significant portion of the country still resides somewhere in the VERY LARGE middle of those two extremes. They're just quieter about it. And ever-so-slowly, that group's members are being plucked by either side as the middle seems to be diminishing via the onslaught of online mantras and such.
Heck, the chants are an example. How many people are actually yelling "Fuck you, Biden" vs. the tens of thousands who aren't yelling anything? And if some unhinged pro-Biden guy gets all bent out of shape and tries to retaliate, we'll surely see that online, too. Meanwhile, those same tens of thousands of other people at the game are entirely absent from the narratives.
This thread is a decent example. Not long ago, most would have pointed out where the OP was obviously wrong and squashed the rantings of the "fringe" guy. But any resistance today means you're part of the "opposition" and obviously part of the other fringe. As a result, the quiet majority who can say "that's not entirely untrue" while also pointing out "well, that part is obviously untrue"... can be simply pushed aside by louder, more pointed voices who have more outlets to unleash their takes than ever before.

I am not worried. I am sure Vice President Kamala Harris will figure it out. I mean she was handpicked because of her credentials, right?

This is pretty funny and I think if you have a sense of humor it is pretty clever. I had never seen this guy before, but a co-worked that is pretty light-hearted shared this.

Watching it got me back to thinking. What has this administration done well? I really come up empty and seriously have tried to look for the positive spin but still can't see it.

Interesting news coming out. Typically I think these things are he said she said, but Biden has pretty much used up all of his credibility in my eyes. It is a little worrisome having him leader of the military for various reasons. If China is going to take its shot at taking Taiwan they won't have a better opportunity to do it.

My favorite line: It's about time someone stepped up and protected us from the constitution. LOL

This one is pretty funny too. In 10-20 years I think we will look back and wonder how dumb could have we been.
