Last night I watched the highlights of the game they showed Buxton getting hit on the hand. It was a direct hit nothing glancing about it. I was honestly shocked they let him stay in the game but Buxton's body language was that he clearly wanted to stay in the game.

The reality is you could trade Buxton for a bunch of prospects that might not amount to much of anything. If Buxton ever stayed healthy and the reality is there is some bad luck with some of his injuries the dude would be unbelievable. Each path comes with some risk. My point is that Buxton is pretty special both as a defensive player and likely with the bat. Even with an injury history like he has you have to really think about trading him away. As it's been pointed out if you keep him the price might be much more reasonable which would add to the value of keeping him. I'm not saying don't trade him period just that if I was the Twins it would be hard to do.

My wife dragged me out to a game on Friday. It was good to be at a game.

I was there too, Bleedspeed...nice win! We got stuck in a parking lot that was full, and by the time we got out and found a different lot, it was already the third inning and we were down 3-1. But we got there just in time to see Arraez's triple in the big bottom of the 3rd. I'm relaxing in my hotel room in Rochester after a procedure this afternoon at Mayo and was looking forward to watching a ball game tonight, but they've already called off the game. Oh well, at least I've got the Suns game.

I'm glad you both got to go to a fun game. Jester I hope you recover well.

This White Sox Series could either give. A sliver of hope or crush any chance of things being interesting.

I think it's possible someday Arreaz hits for some power.

Speedy recover! We honestly mostly just walked around and had a beer and cocktail or two to wash down my polish from Kramarczuk. We left about the 8th inning to get home to watch the USA Gymnastic qualifier. One of the girls that made it has been over to our house a few times and has gone boating with us. Excited for both Suni and Grace to make it. Hopefully, both have good health moving forward.

I thought Maeda was back on track...but he went out and had a bunch of walks and gave up 7 runs. To the Twins credit they made a pretty nice comeback and were a big hit away from taking the lead again in the 9th.

Brusdar Graterol was hurt and hasn't been good for the Dodgers this year and is down in the minors trying to figure things out. Luke Raley hasn't hit in the Majors but he is absolutely crushing in AAA. 2021 nobody is getting much out of that trade.

Matt Shoemaker was dealing tonight as he continued his quest for this year's Cy Young Award, and the Twins crept within 13 1/2 games of the White Sox with another fine effort. I have a feeling this one is going to go right down to the wire.

On a more pleasant note, how about Jose (Lin Manuel) Miranda's AAA debut two nights ago? On his 23rd birthday, he went 5-6 with three HRs and 6 RBIs! And he followed it up last night with one of the best plays I've seen all season at 3b. This guy has been special all year at AA, and he's not slowing down in St. Paul. It's been a sad season for our Twins, but Miranda could step in for Donaldson at third as early as next year. He looks really good!

Shoemaker had some worthwhile relief appearances his last few times out...I guess that came to an end. Twins needs for next season is pitching pitching and more pitching.

Miranda had another 5/6 game for Wichita a couple days before he got called up. I wish ai had watched him down there. Maybe I'll see if the Saints will be coming to play Omaha. If you have video of the defensive plays I would like a link I couldn't find it but maybe I don't know where to look.

I'm sorry guys I made the official call time of death the 2021 twins season 11:30pm CST.

Seriously though what weird team. Also if the twins need a new athletic trainer I can't do any worse of a job.

Fun fact tonight that I hard and almost spit up my drink.

Since the crackdown on spidertac and other substances. Garret Richards curve ball is down 800 rpms. That's right Monster and FNG you have same curve ball as Garret Richards now. But hey putting stuff on the ball doesn't matter.

Ha, not to mention the bizarre numbers of no hitters already this season along with starters hitting below or just above the Mendoza line...the Twins started 3 players yesterday hitting less than .200. That's right...1/3 of their lineup was hitting under .200. A lot of people don't like Josh Donaldson (I always have kind of enjoyed him myself, even when he was beating up the Twins), but I admire him for not letting these pitchers get away with cheating. It's about time they got after these cheating pitchers.

By the way, Jose Berrios has always been high on my list of pitchers loading up baseballs...it's not natural the way his ball moves sometimes. It was pretty telling to me that he gave up 10 hits in only 5 innings yesterday with the umpires watching him closely. Berrios is a guy who just isn't going to be as effective in the new closely-monitored environment, and the Twins should be actively looking to trade him if they can get the right deal. Especially with this season clearly over.
