The Washington Wizards have reached an agreement to acquire Phoenix Suns forward Trevor Ariza in a three-team deal, league sources said told ESPN on Friday night.
The Suns will acquire Wizards guard Austin Rivers and Grizzlies forwards MarShon Brooks and Wayne Selden, league sources said.
Washington is sending forward Kelly Oubre to Memphis, the sources said.
Memphis will send Washington a 2020 second-round pick and a 2019 conditional second-round pick via Boston, league sources said.
Hahahahahha the deal is dead because the Suns didn't know what Brooks was actually included in the deal. I was thinking Memphis stole Oubre in this deal.
I watched a clip from ESPN with Paul Pierce and SVG ripping Phoenix for this, but after reading the Woj article it seems very clear that Phoenix is the only team that clearly didn't make a mistake. The quotes from Memphis make it easy to infer that Memphis misled Washington, after never having any conversation regarding the "three team" trade with Phoenix. Memphis claimed to never discussing Dillon in the three team proposal. That makes me believe that Memphis had discussed Dillon with Phoenix or Washington, but not necessarily in the final draft.
This seems really similar to the Miami/Min deal that we supposedly backed out of. Funny how quick these player/commentators are to call out teams like Minny and Pho, rather than actually look at the facts.
Deal is done Oubre and Rivers to the Suns for Ariza. Oubre is a nice piece to get back for Ariza. He is gonna get paid some money but he also would be a guy i would think they could move at some point before FA in a deal. They could just sit tight and keep him. Rivers gives them another ball handler for this season. Personally I think the Suns did pretty well although it may end up being nothing in the end.
Good deal for Both teams. Oubre is a solid wing. Ariza would help the wizards. He is a vet who commands respect and he fits perfectly with wall and beal. Wall-beal-ariza-porter starting 1-4 should be solid with porter and ariza spreading out in the corners and wall and beal doing their thing and dwight being healthy and manning the middle. At least in paper that looks great but who knows with wall and company.
I think grizz miss out in the deal. Oubre would have been a solid wing for them.
Would anyone take a chance on Josh Jackson for Tyus? He hasn't been good this year and needs a change of scenery. He's another potential do shit guy on the wing.

It's a no for me. The clincher is he is making over 7 million next year.
