Regardless, Kawhi's a legit MVP candidate who has been to two Finals and won an NBA Finals MVP and he's gotten much better since then. Many experts would rank him in the top 5 in the entire league, and he's a consensus top 10 player in the NBA at worst. He's an unbelievable two-way talent. Wiggins is nowhere near that level. There's nothing to discuss. 99.9% of all people on earth would take Kawhi over Wiggins in a heartbeat, even with the injuries.

Not me. I love Wiggins but I do this trade in a heart beat. I would be skeptical if San Antonio said yes, to me that would signal some huge secret issue with Kawhi (drugs, hookers, etc.). But Kawhi is my favorite player in the NBA.

Same here. We all hoped Wiggy would become a poor man's Kawhi, I'm still hoping he gets close. Maybe...

When my younger sister was 6 she asked for a pony for Christmas... she's still waiting.

You're right. But if Kawhi wants out AND has lingering injury concerns which he does his value plummets. Then you have to match salaries don't you somewhat? (I'm no CBA expert).
Before Kawhi went back to the rehab center I thought the idea was far fetched. But now they say he wants out and now he's missed almost an entire season. Those are major concerns.
So it is possible they may want to trade him. Wiggins could become Kawhi with proper coaching and motivation.
The last two we have not done here which is why the trade could make sense.

And now Leonard is back with the Spurs and there is talk of the possibility he might even play this year.

Towns and Teague for Wall and Porter is a closer deal in terms of value and of course we don't even think about that trade.
Porter alone is better than Wiggins. Wall alone is better than Wiggins. I've come to the acceptance that we don't have the necessary [and realistic] resources to make a deal for either of them happen.

I know. My speculation was that Wall wants out after I heard about some grumblings with them. Wall would have to demand a trade, then maybe they would have to settle for something.

Gorgui Dieng, Cole Aldrich (and Jamal Crawford if opts in and can be traded) to Orlando for Bismack Biyombo and Jonathan Simmons.
Why for Orlando? Shed Bismarck's contract and gain cap relief with Cole Aldrich's expiring contract (or can be bought out for 1 mil I think). Dieng has an extra year on his contract but is 4 mil cheaper per.
Why for Minnesota? Simmons give us a legit 3rd wing who can slot in to starting lineup if required. Reasonable contract too. Bismack gives us shot blocking and defensive rebounding and can play next to KAT and Belly. His contract is a burden but expires a year earlier than Diengs. Problem is it will make it incredibly difficult to resign KAT and Butler without going into the lux, but this the price Glen has to pay if he wants to be a serious contender.
We could use MLE to resign Belly and still have our 1st rounder to pick a prospect.
Teague / Jones / Not Derrick Rose
Butler / Simmons / 3 Pt Shooter
Wiggins / MGH / Brown
Gibson / Belly / Johnson
KAT / Biyombo / Patton
