Nik Stauskas. That's all I'm asking for, basketball gods. Forget about the Kevin Love situation. Just give me the 6'5 guard from Michigan.

probably a pointless question but if we get the #6 pick and Embid is there do we take him? I'm not sure we should

I would. We could let him come along slowly with Pek and Dieng and eventually look to trade one of them. The guy has Hakeem potential. Don't think he drops that far though

I just can't/won't get over his injuries. I'd take Randle if he was there.

Interesting. I wont mind lavine. We all hope for stauskus(wont be ther when we pick) or someone who can contribute right away but I dont think we can get a player @13 that can contribute immediately.

This is a strong draft yes, but its a top heavy draft where the top 9 all look to be potential stars. After that, you get what you get from most drafts. A bunch of potential and intriguing prospects that are a few years away from being ready. You might get lucky to get a rotation player right away but more likely your getting a raw player who you need to develop.

Levine has the upside to be a star. he is a risk as well. I wont mind him.

Chad Ford said in his chat that LaVine is likely, if Stauskas is gone.

Meaning, Stauskas is higher on Flip's board? I would sure as hell hope so. Flip talked about teams never having enough shooting. Stauskas, in my opinion, is the best shooter in the entire draft. He supposedly really wanted KCP last year. Nik should be on his list of priorities.

I think Gary Harris can contribute from day one as a backup SG for Martin. I think he is a safe pick but LaVine undoubtedly has the higher upside.

I think it's interesting how Flip says he wants to compete next year for the playoffs but would take a project player like LaVine when Harris is still potentially on the board.

I only think we take LaVine if Love's been traded for "win now" players.

I'm not saying he does but if Flip thinks that LaVine will be the best player he can get at that spot you take him even if he may be a project (and imo he is a total project). If I was Love (Love isn't stupid) I would want the team I was on to take the guy they thought was going to be really good not try and placate me. I'm not convinced LeVine is the guy although there has been reports over time that the Wolves like him.
