These aren't the 7 year Joe Johnson crippling contracts of CBA pasts
Yep, giving a player you really want just three years is a very underrated GM strategy. David Kahn was way ahead of his time in using it on Kevin Love, and it's working out great!
I guess I get your point about the length of the contract in this case though. Love is a superstar, and Parsons is not. But for the same reason, Parsons should not be even sniffing the kind of money Cuban is throwing at him. It's a world gone mad!

This Lebron Saga is unbelievable. Was listening to the Dan Patrick show this morning and they said something called a firebug was used on Lebrons website, and it was able to note the construction of new pages yesterday that contain the Cavaliers color palette. There was no content on the pages yet, but they had just been constructed and prepared for deployment.

Well they are completely different situations. Parsons looks dumb because it hurts your cap space. But only for 3 years, and could still be moved because he can play. Mavs also wern't signing anybody better. Also if you do get into a position where you can S&T for a superstar, the other team will want a Parsons.
Love's deal was stupid because your the Wolves and you won't get a better player to sign for you ever. Even if he still wanted a trade today with a 5 year deal, then the offers would be a hell of a lot better then whats offered now

Keep in mind Cuban's in all out win mode for the next three years. Dirk's on the back end of his career. Parsons will fit nicely with him, Ellis and Chandler.

Love the signing for Mavs. I will be curious if they make a play for Turner.

I now believe Lebron is going back to the Cavs. I can't see him throwing dirt on the state of Ohio again after all this. The big question to me becomes whether the Cavs then acquire Love. I'm not sure how to read that situation.

Would you be suprised if a 3 way deal came up with. Love going to Knicks. Mello to Cavs, and Wiggins to Wolves?

It's a total shitshow. I really wish he would wait on this decision for as long as he can, just to drive the media crazy. In addition, the players union is telling guys to save their money in preparation of a strike after the 2016/17 season. NBA Action-Faaaanntastic!

Pictures have spotted exotic car movers at LeBron's house here in Florida. Loading up and leaving. Not as big of a deal, but the other day LeBron's kids were spotted at an airport in Ft. Lauderdale. Reportedly on way to Cleveland I believe. Also pretty telling that LeBron's meeting with Riley yesterday didn't conclude in an announcement of some kind. You'd also think that if LeBron wasn't going back to Cleveland, his agent or team would slow down the media wagon hyping him up to return to the Cavs.
It's all up in the air, but I'm pretty sure LeBron's going back to Ohio. I wouldn't be surprised if the Cavs and Wolves already have a deal lined up to swap Love and Wiggins. Why else would Wiggins remain unsigned?
