Thank god. I don't want OBJ here.

I wonder how many teams have the need and cap space they could clear. Letting Reiff go would free up money to be able to pay Warford. Even at this point of the offseason he likely won't be cheap. At this point it's hard to say what they should do. I don't know if Cleveland is really ready and while nothing seems worth having confidence in for the guard spots maybe they have more confidence in younger players than I do. Woe Ford is a good option that's for sure. Does he for the system?

I wouldn't cut Rieff. He was solid. It has not been mentioned, but O'Neal moving to LG and Udoh starting at RT makes some sense.
Here is a 53 roster projection.

When will this stuff about moving worthwhile tackles to guards end? I can't take it.

You still have nightmares from Mike Remmers, RT to RG.

I don't have nightmares about that. Its just simply a terrible use of resources. IF...Udoh is good enough to actually play RT heck trade O'Neill for a handsome price (this isn't simple but...) don't move him to freaking guard. Reiff to LG for a season sorta makes sense because its just a 1 year thing...but still a very expensive solution to a problem and there really is no sure thing that Reiff would be any better than the decent or bad players they have put at guard the past few years yes like Remmers.... On top of that Reiff as a possible backup at LT seems less worthwhile when you already have Rashod Hill who is a decent replacement already. Again...how did we end up with possible tackle depth? Remember when we didn't have ANY? I mean we were playing guys like TJ Clemmings and Sirles at Tackle not THAT long ago. That season etc was why they went out and paid Reiff and Remmers to play TACKLE. Tackles are simply much more valueable than guards until I see something that indicates there is a change there...Its going to be a big factor in how I view these things.
Did you see they are planning to move Kyle Hinton to C?

I get it, but we didn't address LG. We seem to have options and have invested some draft capital into OL over the last 4 years. I am not sure Cleveland plays much this year. Moving O'Neal to LG might bring down his contract value.
Look at these draft profiles for young guys on the OL

Why would you take the best lineman on the team and move him though? This wouldn't be Berger moving from C to G. This is literally the worst offseason possible to move someone inside because we don't know how much practice time these guys are gonna get. They made their bed when they didn't address the spot directly. Moving Reiff or O'Neil or even Cleveland inside is just a bad move for both the short and long-term of the team. Linemen aren't Swiss Army knives and they have even less practice time than they used to to master their main position. It's just not smart to keep moving guys around especially this offseason.

I say it because it might be the best unit and LG is our weak link.
Laremy Tunsil who was the 13th overall pick for Dolphins started at LG before moving to LT and got traded to Texans. Maybe that is what we do with Cleveland. I am more a fan of letting him sit. A lot of my thoughts are that Udoh could be good enough to start at RT this year and has a ton of potential. I don't think he could play LG this year.
