Panthers love their former Vikings. Lol. Walter football didn't exactly give him a great grade. His value is being versatile and being able to fill in at a decent level at 3 spots along the line. I'm a fan of his but I'm assuming he doesn't come back and will be happy if it works out he does.

Agreed. I am waiting for the Panthers to bring in AP for a visit.

I think it is up to the coaches. We have some options. We will need to play to this groups strengths for sure.

Boy the line is just depressing on this team right now. We have everything else and this will probably be the downfall of this team. How do you go into an offseason with 2 holes on the interior of the line and patch neither? Most frustrating part of the offseason for me. Now we just have to hope some diamond in the rough shows up and plays competently.

Left and Right Guard. Berger retired and Easton isn't a starter in my opinion.

Here's a good article. A weak unit still overall and we did little to help it this offseason. That's just too much internal development that needs to be done to improve and we had basically none last year so I'm not confident in the unit this year.

Gotcha I assumed you meant Easton I just wanted to know for sure. People love Elf a lot and he was a first year starter etc...but those PFF numbers aren't very good. John Sullivan's numbers were pretty good in case anyone was curious. There should be healthy skeptism about this line and about Easton. I do think there should be optimism about him being at least averag-ish at RG. It sure would be nice to get something better than that but if that's what we get from him I think everyone would be happy. Basically we lost our best olineman inBerger and like you said did little to replace him. I do think O'Neil might be more ready than some people say but I'm also not sold on Remmers moving inside. He was actually kinda good as a RT last year. Yeah we are basically relying on development. At least one young guy besides Elf (I'm assuming he gets better) needs to be better this year for this line to even be decent.

My concern is nobody seems to get better here on OL. Why? I would like to see these guys make a jump this year after playing a year together.

Some fringe types have gotten somewhat better but the concern there is how high is the ceiling for them. Easton went from but being a backup to fringe starter. Sirles was a valuable super sub. One big factor is the type of blocking scheme as they changed the last couple years. That can hurts both the vets you bring in and some of your developmental guys. At this point they should be beyond that and so hopefully we see some more positive progress. It also helps they are using some higher picks on olineman than just 4th or 5th rounders and below like they did for a few years.
