Flip on Towns: "Everyone talks of him as a defensive player, but his offense is underrated." #Twolves

Flip listens to me - and rightly so :-d

Good job, Cool. You were clearly the first person to bring up Towns on this board. And all those arguments you had defending him and his offense. Well done.

He wants to learn under a legend like Kg. All of the kids on the team have talked about how great it is to have KG there. We gained way more just from that then the 2 or 3 wins keeping Thad would have gotten us last year. Even if none of their D improves, the positive impact of having a mentor like KG around is making players excited and interested in the Wolves. That kicks ass. KG mentorship plan is already in full swing.

We joke here about "KG the Mentor", but when every young guy talks about it, maybe it's time to buy in. I went to two KG games last year, and it was fun to watch him pointing, shouting and teaching when he was on the court...and the impact was as noticeable on offense as defense. The ball movement was so much quicker and crisper, and the spacing was better when KG was on the court. And while his on-court teaching was most important, there also has to be value in his in-your-face lectures on the bench.

Where KG couldn't contribute last year was in practices. The entire time he was with us, he was either hurt or we didn't have enough healthy bodies to practice. A healthy KG in training camp is really going to help our young players develop, and it's going to be a big group...Towns, Wiggins, LaVine, Dieng, Muhammad, and Payne...and maybe Bjelica and Bennett.

And he was the first one here to guarantee the Wolves would win the lottery, even though many of us doubted him. Cool is my early favorite for 2015 MVP Poster, despite his slipshod performance in getting out his 2+1's :thumb: .

@ESPNStatsInfo: Towns held opponents to 16% shooting on post-up plays, the lowest of any major conference player. #NBADraftStats

Cam - I am not 100% sure, but I think AB kept post-up plays to 15% when he was in college.

Are you kidding me Cam? YOU have a problem with ME capitalizing on something I argued in this thread? YOU, who have a torn rotator cuff from patting yourself on the back so hard and so often? Sorry, but this makes you look bad. Very poor, distasteful post.
