Thompson > Olynyk > Sullinger > Bennett > Zeller

Think everyone needs to cool off on Bennett's upside too. I fully believe he's a Derrick Williams clone and some of you are drinking the Kool-Aid.

Wiggins has an edge on Smart for me because of his shooting ability and likelihood of being a SF. I really like Smart, though. That hasn't changed.

You need to stop drinking the Thompson Kool-Aid. The guy regressed in his 3rd year and has a year to 2 years of experience on everyone else in that comparison. Olynyk>Bennett>Zeller>Thompson>Sullinger. KCP was also bad last year and the guy tore up the summer league and looks to be forcing his way into the Detroit rotation. With your timeframe on rookies, he should have been told to stay home because he was a bust last year. Thompson has had 3 year to improve and he has already regressed. How is that possibly a good sign for future production over unproven guys who almost all have higher ceilings?

If we did get Waiters in a trade do you think we could flip him for a young big like Cody Zeller?

Without a doubt we COULD. Not sure why you'd want to, though. Waiters is a lot more valuable than Zeller.

They had the same PER as rookies.. But anyway, if CLE insists on trading Waiters instead of Thompson, I'd want a guy we can start at PF. Any other ideas on guys we could trade him for? Henson?

Probably time to bump this thread up to the top, since a Cavs deal looks less likely.

Someone on rubechat asked what this process is doing to Love's inflated ego. He makes a point of putting himself in play by going on a trip to Boston before the draft, and on draft night Ainge doesn't give Flip a good offer. Then there are a flurry of GS rumors, but it turns out GS won't include Klay Thompson in a deal. Next, LeBron & Co. and Carmelo opt out, and nobody is interested in talking about Love anymore. Finally, LeBron makes his decision, and immediately Kevin raises his hand and says "I'll go play with James". But Gilbert only thinks Love is worth Tristan Thompson, Dion Waiters and Anthony Bennett.

Rejection, rejection, rejection. Ya think little Kevvie is feeling a little deflated?

Looking more and more likely that Love will play for the Wolves this upcoming season. Not all bad.

ALOT of people thought Lebron wouldn't get over that whole Gilbert letter and he did get past that at least to a certain extent. Its a very different situation, but do we really think that Love and the Wolves can't patch things up and roll for this season? Love didn't directly insult anyone and put it in a public letter. Do you think teammates are gonna be like. Ughh crap that Love guy is back. Who wants that 26-13 guy around I can't believe we didn't trade him. I doubt it. I am not saying we won't move Love for sure, but him being back with the Wolves and it being mostly fine wouldn't shock me either.

I dont think Love liked Rubios comments on his leadership abilities. Thats the relationship I would be most worriedabout if I was trying to retain Love.

I think it would be horrible to have him back, monster. The things you hear after a guy has left, or in this case checked out, can be very revealing. Two local sports guys who didn't say a peep last year now are very frank about how much Love is disliked by his teammates. I can't see Kevin being welcomed back without him eating some serious crow, and Love doesn't do that. He's more comfortable blaming others and avoiding any personal responsibility. He lost me in December, and apparently lost his teammates before that.

I never heard any Cav speak badly of LeBron after he left, and I don't think any Heat teammates will either. Look at how he reached out to Wade to meet with him personally before the news got out. But Kevin just doesn't know how to be relational. It doesn't appear that he has any relationships with any of his teammates, and they must have been cringing during his "they" interview and his pathetic plea to be chosen to play with LeBron.

I'm convinced that this ship has sailed, and Flip needs to deal him. Unfortunately, the league knows that too, and that's why they are waiting until Flip gets desperate. Eventually Flip is going to have to accept a deal without Wiggins, or without Klay, or without Mirotic or McDermott. And we will rip him on this board for doing the only thing he can do to rid this team of its cancer. But it's not Flip. This one is on Kevin.

Get him out of here for whatever we can get.
