Interesting. I wont mind lavine. We all hope for stauskus(wont be ther when we pick) or someone who can contribute right away but I dont think we can get a player @13 that can contribute immediately.
This is a strong draft yes, but its a top heavy draft where the top 9 all look to be potential stars. After that, you get what you get from most drafts. A bunch of potential and intriguing prospects that are a few years away from being ready. You might get lucky to get a rotation player right away but more likely your getting a raw player who you need to develop.
Levine has the upside to be a star. he is a risk as well. I wont mind him.
I think Gary Harris can contribute from day one as a backup SG for Martin. I think he is a safe pick but LaVine undoubtedly has the higher upside.
I think it's interesting how Flip says he wants to compete next year for the playoffs but would take a project player like LaVine when Harris is still potentially on the board.
I dont think harris will be available when we pick. We have 3 teams ahead of us that needs shooting and a sg. You have Hornets, sixers and nuggets all looking at adding a shooting guard. If hornets keep their pick stauskus is their guy. Then sixers will take harris, if not denver would. Dont count out sacramento in taking stauskus as well. They did just draft mclemore last season but they could very well take stauskus too.

I would be ok with LaVine but he sure looks raw. The upside is that he has the quickness to be a good defender, he just needs to put in the effort. I like his ability to shoot off the bounce or the catch and of course the athleticism.

It's not just me high on the Stauskas bandwagon. http://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/2014/06/24/nik-stauskas-has-good-shot-great-nba-career/R99EeTVe5cazXtJFYBaDiL/story.html

Wish we had a top 10 pick for a shot at getting Stauskus. Alas, there is no chance he falls to #13.

Pretty much. Though, if he was going to fall, this is what would need to happen:
1. CLE: Wiggins
2. MIL: Parker
3. PHI: Embiid
4. ORL: Smart
5. UTA: Randle
6. BOS: Exum
7. LAL: Vonleh
8. SAC: Gordon (could see Boston trading Rondo here and taking Gordon also)
9. CHA: McDermott
10. PHI: Harris
11. DEN: LaVine
12. ORL: Hood/Warren/Young
13. MIN: Stauskas
The bolded picks are the ones most crucial in Minnesota getting Stauskas. It's going to take three teams messing up.

NBATV mock had Stauskas at 5. I don't see that scenario happening but like I said the other day, in order to get Stauskas now, he would have to be the main part of a Love trade. Would anyone trade Love for Stauskas and Payne, aka the Celtics trade?

Here's the first of several posts on McDermott and now you claim you didn't pump McDermott. You are a liar Camden.

Is this pumping a prospect or admitting that I liked him as a prospect (which I did among others)? I thought the definition of "pumping" a prospect was how I talked about Stauskas and Towns. Either way, kudos to you for... being right about... something? Pretty irrelevant. Moving on.
