I have no problem with us standing pat now. If something interesting happens, great. But I am pretty happy with what we have right now.
Wolves fan commiserate here!

Meh. Minnesota got the losing side here (shocker). Los Angeles just got much more dangerous because of this trade too. Double whammy.
I'd agree... for this season.
But I think we have to assume Russell wasn't resigning. So.. . the Wolves were a bit stuck.
IF Conley stays close to what he is now... 108 games of Conley vs. 26 games of Russell makes it a much better deal.
36-year old Mike Conley Jr. is the savior. Sounds good to me. What could go wrong?

Seriously, there is some validity to the question: "What is it about DLO that has had so many teams jump off the boat?" He certainly seems to wear out his welcome very quickly. I don't want to say I told you so, but I saw this day coming rue since the trade to bring him here. It's too bad he was part of a trade with many other components, thus denying us a true gauge of his current value. We will have to wait until the summer to see what kind of attention he gets.

There are long-term ramifications of this trade... but I don't know how it can be argued that Russell + Vanderbilt + Beasley isn't >>>>>>> Westbrook in 2023.
I think Westbrook was put in a terrible situation and gets a bad rap. BUT, he's simply not a great player in LA and not a good fit.
James has thrived with shooters around him. And Beasley is one of the league's better volume three point guys and Russell has been one of the league's BEST three point shooters for more than two months. Russell playing for his next contract can't hurt either.

Abe, they gave up more than that. Don't take things out of context.

I know you're upset, but let's not make stuff up.
I didn't write that... nor anything close to it.

Which is why I started the post with the "long-term ramifications" part. And why I was very clear in bolding the part of your post I disagree with.
Unless you think Juan Toscano-Anderson and Damian Jones are great losses or something.
