Jon Krawczynski seems to think the Wolves will make one, maybe two, trades before the deadline and that they'll be moves focused on helping out the bench. He practically ruled out any trades for a starting caliber player (Harrison Barnes, Jerami Grant, Myles Turner, etc.) and expects the Ben Simmons/James Harden trade to get done.

I still think the Harrell trade makes a lot of sense for the wolves. Im not saying he's a game changer but it would help the team.
I think you have ride Beasley and Prince. You can always revisit Harrison Barnes in future or maybe a different wing this off-season.

I don't think Montrezl Harrell moves the needle much, though. He's an upgrade, but to what degree? If you can get him for Naz Reid, Jake Layman, Josh Okogie and a second-round pick (or less), then I
guess you make that deal? It's hard to get too excited about it, though. He adds another scoring presence to the bench and can pressure the rim, but Minnesota would still have a size problem among other issues.

I wonder what the Knicks would want for Mitchell Robinson. Would Naz Reid and two second-round picks be close? I think that's more interesting to me than a Montrezl Harrell deal.

I would think they would want more than that. The question is who here would be willing to give up Naz and a first for him? Is staying healthy a concern for Robinson?

But man, he could help turbo-charge the offense in that second unit, especially since Beasley and Prince finally found their freakin' shots. Naz is a solid roll man, but Montrezl is at a whole other level.
We could go to being a top 5 offense....then hanging around being a top 15 defense is probably good enough for now. We could afford to have a couple of warts on that end of the court.

I think if you have to give up Reid and Okogie then yeah it doesn't move the meddle as much which is why I said before that finding matching contracts might be a problem. Okogie isn't a deal breaker but I think he is a guy that can play limited minutes and give you some really good defense and also not hurt you in other ways. There is value in guys like that especially when they give great energy and are good teammates. I do think Harrell would be a nice addition but I also think it might be nice to have him and Naz as backups. If we traded them for each other then you stil just have Knight (who I do like) behind the backup "big".

Maybe, but I can't help but think a Mitchell Robinson and Naz Reid swap would be good for both players and their teams. Reid isn't the rim protector or rebounder that Robinson is, but he has significantly better offensive skills to include a respectable perimeter shot from the center position. That could be helpful to a team that likes to invert their offensive sets.
Not to mention, Robinson will be an unrestricted free agent this summer and New York already has Nerlens Noel signed for a couple more years. Maybe they'd like a change of pace big too?
I would not include a first-round pick for Robinson.

I couldn't remember his FA status so yeah I wouldn't go that high either. I wonder what the market will be for him and if he would be likely to leave just because he doesn't want to be the C behind Towns. What value would you put on him as a FA?

Somewhere in the ballpark of four-years, $40M sounds about right.
