Draft Night Drama - GDT
Re: Draft Night Drama - GDT
Way more Euros going in the 1st than anticipated. 2nd round should be interesting.

It is tough, but I just don't like the fit.I don't see Wiggins and Butler meshing offensively.

How could we offer Dunn and Rubio? Makes no sense
Re: Draft Night Drama - GDT
Good. Interesting if they offered Rubio and 5 for Butler. Who would have been pg?

Not sure what ATL gave up for Prince but i love him as a player.
Teague got them that pick in the three team deal with Indiana and Utah.

Butler is a top 15 player to team with 2 other potential top 15ers, and Valentine brings us smarts and shooting. I'm way on board
LST - it is no happening. Lip is reading a fake woj account!
I thought the only deal in the fake account was Zach, Dunn and a second for Butler.
Yeah, THAT trade would be tough to swallow. But if we got Valentine back and weren't giving up another 2nd (we don't have any until 2024 at this rate), then I'd give the Butler trade serious consideration.
Anybody else think a Wiggins for Butler trade straight up makes sense? I know, I know, I'm evil for suggesting it, but this would avoid the redundancy problem of having both Wiggins and Butler and we could keep Dunn.

You really think that's Lavine's ceiling? He's a freakish athlete who also happens to love the game and is a gym rat. If anyone can make this kid a star it's Thibs. No way do I make any deal involving him at this point.
Lavine will never be a better player than Butler is now, unless you don't value defense. Even if Lavine improves his defense, he still won't be an all-NBA defender. Butler is not only a defensive standout, but he's a very good all around offensive player as well. He's not a three point shooter, but he's a stud in almost every other respect. Butler's a 20 ppg/4-5 assist/5-6 rebound a game guy in your backcourt. Lavine may become a better scorer than Butler, but I don't see how his upside can reach what Butler already is.. And speaking of gym rats, Butler is known for being a tireless worker.
I'm not so sure about that. There were times I saw some +defender potential out of him. Strength is probably the factor limiting him the most currently. If he can continue getting stronger and learn to improve his defense from Thibs, the sky could be the limit.
Wonder if Coolbreaz is here right now, because there's zero chance that Zach becomes as good or better of a defender than Butler. I honestly feel that's more fact than opinion. If Zach gets to that level, that would be unfathonable.
I wasn't saying I think he'll be as good or better on D, but I think he still has a chance to get his D up to a plus level as well as having star offensive potential. I would take that over Butler. Lets not forget how easy Lavine makes it look getting to the basket at times and his cold blooded 3 pointers in crunch time.

I'm here, but what does this have to do with me?
