If Buxton can stay healthy and Sano can up his power numbers a lil bit more it might be enough to counter act the likelihood that some of these guys numbers are going to come down a tick. If that happens I'm in agreement with you guys. Still, like we've all mention before, that rotation has to get stronger. Otherwise we'll find ourselves getting swept by the Yankees yet again.

That is the crazy part. Berrios could actually still be getting better. I think they need to think about having him skip a start a month in July and August. He doesn't seem to be the true big inning workhorse type.

It's worth remembering Sano had that gash in his foot so he wasn't able to Play for a while and started off slowly overall. If he could just miss a few games without some major injury he could get off to a solid start and easily be better than he was last year. Assuming he is staying in shape with a good approach (not a given but I feel pretty good about it) there is legit hope for him to give this team much more than he did last year.

If Buxton could even play 120 games this coming season that would be significant in the regular season. It feels like whatever we get from him is sort of a bonus which is kind of weird to say about one of the most impactful players on the roster...if healthy.

The Twins have seemingly pulled off a fascinating New Year's Eve double-strike. Hurlers Rich Hill and Homer Bailey are each in agreement on contracts with the Minnesota organization, according to Dan Hayes of The Athletic.

Ugh... This is not "impact" pitching. Fuck.

Just save Rich Hill for the playoffs. The guy has pitched over 111 innings in a season 3 times. Lol Homer Bailey...hopefully we get the guy that's kinda good not the one that really sucks.

So....the 40 man is full and they don't have 2 starters for like a quarter of the season. I suppose for a few weeks they don't even need a 5 starter but yeah...I'm not against what they did but they probably need at least one young guy or another scrap heap minor league deal guy to emerge. Maybe this opportunity will entice a couple guys to sign one of those deals with the Twins.

These guys seem to be groundball pitchers. We must be upgrading the infield.

Rumor has it that the Braves have offered a four-year contract to Josh Donaldson. If that's the case, I wonder how much money Atlanta offered because I'm surprised the deal hasn't been made official considering that's where Donaldson is rumored to want to go. Did Atlanta offer four years but at a lesser total? Is that their way of compromising? A lot remains to be seen, but for Minnesota this off-season is relying on signing him. If not, I don't see how this team got better, which would be a failure on the front office's part considering the circumstances.

Damn there is a lot of salt in that Rich Hill breakdown. Lol

Rich Hill is an interesting pitcher for sure. He is a lefty which is nice. Homer looks to have had a good second half last year. Certainly interesting options for this team.

Dan Hayes reporter in his latest piece the Twins did make Donaldson a 4 year offer and he is the target for the offseason. If they are somehow able to end up with Donaldson I would honestly be pretty happy even though there are some legit questions about this rotation. Donaldson would be a pretty big get for this franchise. Will we get him? Idk fingers crossed.

I am not as big on Donaldson as others on this board. I just think by year 3 or 4 of the contract we would be regretting it.

What about a trade for Escobar and Robbie?
