Durant wouldn't be in Golden State without the once-in-a-lifetime bump salary cap space last year just happening to coincide with Durant's free agency...

Eh, it's not that big of a deal in the context of what constitutes bad behavior by athletes. But it adds to the drip-drip-drip of character flaws in this dude. I wouldn't want him near our team.
That is what I felt. He certainly is kind of a flake. He obviously has not become a functional adult or found the right people to surround himself with. I alway felt he kind of got a bad rap, but this just shows a lot of issues. For some reason it makes me lump him in with the Ricky Davis's of the world. Talented players that just have something missing mentally.
OK so yeah he wasn't drunk or actually hurt anyone however...
First of all why did he have a suspended registration in the first place? I'd like to know what that was about.
people that drive without car insurance piss me off.
95 in a 65 (that in of itself isn't great but people do it) but with no car insurance and on a suspension? How dumb are you? Seriously.
It may not be a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but as others have said this stuff all adds up to a guy that isn't seen as a positive.

I had no issues with Dwight Howard until this. Just so many dumb things all at once points to much bigger issues.

On the GS Cavs thing...
How amusing would it be if Mike Brown coaches the Warriors to a Championship over Lebron and the Cavs?
To me right now all I want is a terrific finals and honestly I think we are going to get that.
As for who to cheer for or against...
The Cavs got all those #1 overall picks other than Kyrie drafted terribly for a few years and were extremely lucky again that the best pick of their franchise happened to be a local kid that wanted to bring a championship to a downtrodden area that hadn't seen success for quite a while in any pro sport in the way of championships. Be fore Lebron showed up Tristin Thompson was basically a worse version of Fariid and now he turned into a terrific complimentary player who is now a terrific defender. Contrast to GS who the last few years GS has drafted terrifically. If you want to you can find reasons to dislike Lebron also. I tend to respect his game and what he has been able to do over his career more and more especially the way he is able to play all these years doing so much for his teams and even though he takes a few games off the guy hasn't missed games because of injury. I don't care where you want to put him in the best players of all time etc I just know he is one of the best all around players I have ever seen and one of the best at making his teammates better as well. GS and the Cavs have come into being terrific teams I'm just going to try and enjoy the greatness and try and block out some of the annoyances (Draymond is the worst).

I am rooting for the Rockets tonight as I think they have a small chance at taking out the Warriors with their high risk style, I just don't see the Spurs being able to compete

I agree.
Of course when I started watching last in the game I ended up cheering for the Spurs to come back and win it.
That was an ugly Spurs possession at the end of the game. I had flashbacks to watching the Wolves this season. Lol

Haden's obviously a great player. But watching him down the stretch here reminds me of why I've never been a fan.

The Rockets are so damn dogmatic about their "only 3s and layups" strategy that no one knows how to manufacture a good old fashioned pull up mid-range jumper or take a guy in the post. They don't run any corner/triangle type stuff through a big, so it's exclusively high pick and roll and nothing else. Eventually defenses learn, especially in a 7-game series.
I'm all for analytics and trying to maximize good shots, but the Rockets have taken it too far and I think it's starting to hurt them.

I thought the same at the beginning of the playoffs. Now, I don't see how Warriors-lite has any chance to win that series. You cannot play GSW's game and expect to take them out. The Spurs have the experience and defense to throw the Warriors off their game. I doubt they'll win, but they have a better shot to steal more than one game.
