Comparison of NFC North Team drafts.

Everyone feels our draft will have the biggest impact because of Cook and Elfein. I tend to agree, but Packers had a strong draft and might be better long term. They got a lot of talent for the defense and I liked Dupre as a late round WR for them. The only are aI think they could ahve doen better was RB. They grabbed 3, but I don't see any of them standing out. They passed on Mack Marlon in 4th. He would have been a nightmare pick for us.

GB did what they should have done getting defense early. They could have gotten a RB earlier and a case for that is pretty easy to make. At this point looking at their roster they have Ty Montgomery and 4 rookies as their RBs plus 2 FBs. It could be an intruiging group and some of those guys compliment each other. The Packers have struggled to some extent for a while with RBs but they had Lacy plus James starks for years and if both of those guys or just one was healthy that was plenty good. It's too bad Starks may be done I think it was concussions from a car accident. I would have wanted to sign him here.
One thing I noticed looking at their roster is they signed Lance Kendricks at TE also. He is a fairly talented guy that caught 50 passes last year for the Rams...so yeah the Packers have Bennett Kendricks and Rodgers at TE. That's a pretty nice group if healthy.

I'm happy with our first 3 picks and Hodges, lukewarm on isidora, but I feel we botched it after that. I view GB as the winner from the draft, as much as it pains me to say that. I see 5 early starters with their first 5 picks.
Desmond King and Gonzalez the kicker were both staring us in the face and would have had much more immediate impact than a Gedeon, Coley, whoever else we took in the 7th.

Interesting. ESPN Round by Round draft steals. I thought we might get it for Cook in round 2 or bucky in round 6 or Lee in round 7 and of course, the Chargers would get it for taking Desmond King in round 5.
Nope,Nope, Nope
Round 7
Stacy Coley, WR, Minnesota Vikings (pick No. 219)
A longtime evaluator with experience as a GM said he thought there was a good chance Coley would become a starter in the NFL. Other voters weren't as excited. As one of the dissenters pointed out, evaluations on receivers frequently vary more than for players at other positions.
"I see him as your fourth or fifth guy, a special-teamer who is going to make your roster," one of the evaluators said of Coley.
Even that would be good value for a seventh-round wideout. The evaluator listing Cleveland Browns running back Matthew Dayes admitted his choice was a bit of a stretch, but he thought Dayes could project as a decent change-of-pace back.

Well the Browns may have gotten a steal. If so at least it happened to a team that could use a break.

I am pulling for the Browns. I hope they field a winner soon.

Yeah I have been pulling for them for a while but the previous front office folks made some regrettable moves like picking Manziel etc in some ways I felt like they didn't deserve to have things go their way. I think this group is making smart decisions at least. If they don't work out it feels like at least they didn't screw it up in some spectacular way. The bar is pretty low though. Lol

We liked Kareem Hunt right? That guy had an eventful first game. Dude could retire after tonight and say he had a pretty nice career and say it was all against the Patriots. :)
