What he seems to lack is relationship and interpersonal skills - basically the ability to relate to people (especially his players) on a deeper level, including about things other than basketball. This is the problem when one becomes so focused on one's profession to the exclusion of all other activities.
What Thibs needs is a good woman!
This is really insightful actually. Maybe he should hire Hammond to coach and stay upstairs.

Guess Patton won't be making his next appearance until late fall...
Unreal, but don't think it really matters either way. He didn't look good in his G-league stint. Soft and lazy.
So what you're saying is...he'll fit right in

Who says yes?
Teague for vucevic and agustine/mack?
Move tyus to the starting unit. Have vucevic be the anchor for the 2nd unit on offense. Nikola can score and rebound. Develop a 3pt shot last season. Orlando just drafted their center of the future in mamba and biyombo is still there. Vuc can play with towns as well.
Teague gives orlando their starting pg and a vet on a 2.yr deal.
Trade 2.
Dieng to pelicans for solomon hill.
Strictly a cap move as hill has 2 more years at 12m while dieng is at 3yrs with 16m/yr. Better than attaching a pick to unload dieng as was rumored before the draft.
Free agency
Offer Mario Hezonja the whole midlevel for 2 years. We can offer him a player option for year 2 should he want to bet on himself for a year. He would be our 3rd wing and small ball pf.
Target dante cunningham for the lower exception.
Resign derrick rose to play backup pg/sg.
We can also look to move augustine/mack to a 3rd team for a backup pf and use rose as our primary backup pg. example augustine to sac for skal labisierre. Dont go for cunningham then if we get a backup pf in a deal.

How about Wiggins and Diop to Orlando for Bamba and Fournier?

I'd rather stick with Teague than add those guys. Vic has rep a poor defender and putting him next to Towns sounds like a terrible idea. Also Teague is a guy that's been lobbying for Tyus to play and as much as an Love Tyus I don't think he is read to be a full time starter. Even if Teague opts in to his 3rd year your trade idea shows how it's likely he will be fairly easy to move.

Monster, the idea is to put the team in a better cap position and be able to continue to build around the Butler/Towns/Wiggins core.
Vucevic defense is nothing to write home about but he can carry the load on offense with the 2nd unit. My thought process is to try to give towns more rest and limit him to 33mpg. Vuc play the 15mins and maybe spend 5-6min alongside towns. Thibs usually rest towns at the 4min mark in the first and put him back in with the bench to start the 2nd quarter because of lack of scoring. Vuc can give towns a longer rest and more balanced rotation minutes.
I like teague but if we are going with the butler/towns/wig core then we need more of a ball mover to play heavy minutes with them. Im willing to give tyus a run at the starting pg spot. We may need to have a better backup pg than rose or augustine/mack but I feel we will be good enough o make the playoffs with tyus starting.

That makes sense. I personally think Teague is a better all around player than Vuc and again I don't think Tyus is ready. If he is which he might actually prove this season...that's going to be interesting but in a good way and like I said Teague is already in his corner. Next to nobody thought Crawford was going to opt out this year. It's not crazy to think Teague if healthy opts out or is easily moveable and either get something back or dump him for next to nothing. There are always rebuilding teams looking to take the next step with a vet at a position. Sound familiar? :) The amazing smart Jazz team did that TWICE. I do think DJ Augustine and Mack are solid players to get back at PG so I get that part but I still think moving Teague weakens the PG position. I'd rather see us get something out of our bigs like Dieng to help our own bench. Dieng is kind of a DJ level player and I think there is more we can get from him or for that matter someone else. I don't want another center. I get you have a bunch of deals (moving Dieng is one) but it's a lot of moving parts so I just commented on the first one. Also worth noting Vuc's Career true shooting percentage is .527. Andrew Wiggins is .526. Vuc isn't really the most efficient scorer. Anywho that's my take. Trades are fun to talk about though. This one I think is pretty close in terms of value going back and forth. Orlando probably would be interested in doing the deal.

Ugh, don't remind me! Sooooo often settles for the contested long 2, by far the worst shot in basketball. No wonder he's been a chronically inefficient scorer his entire career thus far!

Seen on hoopshype MN signed Jared Terrell to 2-way deal. Can someone explain how that's possible? July 1st starts FA right?
