I was pro KCP coming out and I think Flip was too, but he went 8th and we then traded down. I was never a fan of Gary Harris, but he is looking pretty solid. So who is better?

I'll take Gary Harris if I'm choosing between the two. I think Caldwell-Pope is the superior athlete and overall physical specimen, but other than that, I think Harris is better in every regard.

Isn't KCP supposed to be a solid to really good defender though?

If you listen to Jim Petersen, he'll tell you he's an "elite" defender. Try not to roll your eyes out of your head.

As far as free agency goes, give me Serge Ibaka and Kyle Korver.

And then let me trade Rubio and our first-round pick for Goran Dragic. That might require a third team.

Those are video game moves. I'm aware of how unlikely it is for even one of those three to happen, but it'd be on my bulletin board for this off-season.

PG: G. Dragic / K. Dunn / T. Jones
SG: Z. LaVine / K. Korver
SF: A. Wiggins / K. Korver
PF: S. Ibaka / G. Dieng
C: K. Towns / G. Dieng / C. Aldrich

Cam, what did you think about Monroe last night? I thought he looked quicker than normal.

Ibaka and Korver would be a great haul. I think both could fit perfectly with what we have.

Korver coming here? I'd be absolutely surprised.

He has the skillset and is at an age where he fits a cavs, warriors, celts, spurs team.

Ibaka, maybe, but we would overpay for someone on a downward trajectory. No thanks.

Rubio and our 1st (likely a top 12 in a loaded draft) for Dragic? Again, no thanks. Rubio and other pieces at the deadline, sure. I do like dragic here, but I'm not willing to give up our last shot at a premier young talent for the *expected* next 5+ years for him along with Rubio on his currently cheap contract.

Would rather move rubio by himself for a wing or a big on a rookie deal or one who is locked in at 14 mil or less for bench depth personally.

Ibaka's arguably having a career year. In some areas he is declining, but overall he's still really good.

Couple of things to note:

Minnesota was supposed to meet with Motiejunas, but there was a falling out of some kind. I haven't seen a lot of info on this, though. Maybe some of our more connected posters can add more on this? I had him as a guy that I'd target for some big man help, but I'm not too upset that we didn't get him. I want bigger fish.

Atlanta's supposedly listening to offers on Millsap now. On top of it, he's leaning towards opting out after the season. Neither are big surprises, but it's worth mentioning. Millsap would be a phenomenal addition in the summer.

Just saw this. But when we played Milwaukee I didn't think he looked all that different than what I've known him to be. He's not spry, but I didn't think he was a lumbering body like Pekovic or anything like that. Sneaky quickness with that guy.

He was in Minnesota yesterday to work out and have medical look at him (bad back) but the pelicans offered him a contract so he is supposed to sign with him today. Like the JJ Redick thing all over again
