Highest AVG by a 22-year-old in the past 100 years (min. 300 PA):
.406 -- Ted Williams, 1941
.358 -- Freddie Lindstrom, 1928
.357 -- Stan Musial, 1943
.350 -- LUIS ARRAEZ, 2019
.346 -- Joe DiMaggio, 1937
No big deal. Just four Hall of Famers and Luis Arraez.
I have never seen any of those other guys even play.
Is it time to trade Nick Gordon? How did Royce Lewis finish the year?
Hard to trade away Nick Gordon when he wasn't healthy. If he is healthy I could see him do quite well at AAA (if he doesn't make the MLB roster) and become a nice trade piece. He will turn 24 in October. That's still pretty young.
Who do you have less faith in right now Gibson or Perez? Which would would you hope you could get a somewhat passable 4 innings out of? Do you feel either guy can work out of the pen effectively in the playoffs more than the other one? Is it too harsh to consider having neither guy on the playoff roster or do you keep one just in case you need and arm to at least get you through some innings in what is pretty much a lost game?

Do I have to choose? Lol I would rather trust Perez just because he can probably get 1-2 mph in the bullpen and you can match him up against lefties.
Was talking to buddy I wish they would try to stretch out Duffey to 3 innings. He's been so dominate and has started experience. I think if you did 3 innings of Duffey into 2 inning innings of Graterol and inning or two of Thorpe or smeltzer you can get by in a playoff game. Can you believe if we play the Yankees they might actually do two bullpen games.

Lewis and Killrilloff both finished on high notes. Honestly we're lucky if Nick Gordon turns into Adrianza at the big league level. A quality back up infielder.

Adriannza had some positive signs as a hitter in the minors in terms of OBP. He broke into the majors at a pretty young age I'd guess because of his glove. I'm not sure Gordon is considered that kind of fielder. Meanwhile This season which was his 2nd at AAA he had 29 doubles in just under 300 ABs. I'm not arguing he is some high level prospect but if I was a team that needed an infielder I'd call and see what it would take to get him. LaVelle seems to think team around the league aren't too high on him either. Might be worth holding onto him at this point. You never know what may happen. If he could hit decently and play well enough at a few different positions he could be quite useful...and cheap.
