Zimmer thinking he can get the most out of any and every cornerback is gonna be his undoing. Simply paying a DE isn't going to mask the issues the secondary appears to have.

Or is it Spielman? Spielman paid Cook big money too. Not that I don't like Cook but RB is not a position of need.

I think order of importance-

QB - obviously most important, Cousins OK QB. Probably 12-13 range imo. C+
LT - Reiff, avg at best C-
DE's. - Okay we are doing well other then Hunter is hurt and we will see if we can resign NGakoue A-
CB's- Looking terrible so far Fail grade currently.
RT- Good B+
WR's- C+

CB's I think we can all agree is a very important area, and Spielman and Zimmer are not getting it done.

It's one game without a preseason against a HOF QB. There is certainly reason for concern after this game but it's one game. One thing I liked from Cousins was he was moving around and extending plays and getting yards on the ground. That's something he needs to be able to do more of if he wants to get to the next level. That INT wasn't the best though.

That's true but one game, more importantly a loss to GB at home (not that it matters as much without crowds) is very important. 16 games, every game counts.

I'm not at all writing the CB's off as busts or anything. It's to be expected they would struggle. I more or less am placing the blame on SPielman and Zimmer for being in this situation.

Though not having Hunter could have changed the outcome too. We were not exactly getting pressure on ARODGE.

That one packers WR dropped a couple balls in the 2nd half or it would have looked even worse.

I've watched 3 complete games and part of another one and...honestly I'm surprised at how not crappy the teams have looked. Forget preseason if this is the product we are getting...ok maybe a preseason game for the end of roster types to get some reps etc.
