Let's remember the Jets picked up Elfien and played him a ton because apparently that's how bad it was there they were a couple spots below the Vikings. Other teams need fixed too.

"Overall, however, it was a disappointing season for the offensive line in New York. They allowed pressure in 2.5 seconds or less on 28% of their dropbacks -- the worst rate in the NFL. The line wasn't creating many lanes in the run game, either. The Jets averaged just 1.1 yards per carry before contact per rushing attempt in 2020 (30th). Once again, they'll have to look to add pieces to their offensive line this offseason."

Basically improving the line via FA will be some under the radar signing that turns out to be a decent instead of bad player.

I feel like we need to poach the OL coach from Packers or Patriots. Then name them OL/Assistant OC or maybe Assistant GM.

Having one of the greatest QBs of all time makes a lot of people look pretty smart. I'm not gonna say those franchises haven't done well with those position groups of the years especially the Packers but seriously though the QBs make a big difference. What was that tackle we signed from the Colts (Charlie something) to be a guard and he wa the LT for Peyton Manning for a while.

Fun stat: Aaron Rodgers is top 10 all time in QB rushing yards.

That is a great point, but those teams just seemed to be able to plug and play with guys, but when you think more about it how many of these players left via FA and still had success. Not many if any. It does make you go back and think about Russell Wilson's situation though.

How do you feel about the offensive talent and offensive coordinators Wilson has had? I don't exactly think of high level offensive minds when I think about the Seahawks. That stuff does matter.

I never really thought about that. I feel like QBs like Brady and Peyton called a lot of blocking assignments and audibles at the line of scrimmage. I am not sure OC even mattered.

A few months ago some Vikings fans had the idea that they could relatively easily move up...I thought that was waaaay to optimistic but that's a lot for the 49ers to give up to get to 3 from 12.

Sam Darnold to Panthers. I am a little surprised at how much the Jets got. Wasn't Sam and Teddy teammates briefly before?

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/31199202/new-york-jets-trade-qb-sam-darnold-carolina-panthers-3-draft-picks

"Darnold has one year remaining on his rookie contract, with guaranteed salary and bonuses totaling $4.6 million. The Panthers must decide on Darnold's fifth-year option for 2022 by May 3; the predetermined amount is $18.8 million, fully guaranteed. He was due to count $9.8 million on the Jets' cap, but they will get $4.8 million in relief and a $5 million "dead" charge for 2021."

That is a big pay bump in 2022 for Darnold. Teddy could come here as a backup here in 2022 and starter in 2023.

QB's and my personal predictions.

Trevor Lawrence- Perennial Pro-Bowler. Top 5 Elite QB in a few seasons.

Zach Wilson- Never watched him play besides the highlights and some workouts. So I'm guessing very good Pro but not elite. Will throw a few too many Int's.

Justin Fields- Threw too many INt's and had some off games where the running game saved his butt. I see him as a backup eventually in 4-5 years. So bust.

Trey Lance- Only watched one game and he looked good, but it's against subpar competition. He scares me too much and I see backup as well in 4-5 seasons.

Mac Jones- Had a super impressive season and I watched every game. Was he a big part of the offense or was he simply surrounded by elite talent everywhere. I have too much doubt about him being successful under pressure which he wasn't often last season. I predict backup for him as well.

Kyle Trask- Watched a few games and highlights. Watched him light up the Alabama defense with 400 yards and 4 TD's. I was super impressed with him. Reminds me of Big Ben. Will he be that good? I'm going to say yes, but I feel like I'm out on a limb here. Most have him pegged as a 2-4th rounder. His talent around him was also superb like Mac Jones which maybe allowed the gaudy stats.

Kellen Mond- Saw him a couple games including against Alabama. I wasn't impressed with him in his decision making or accuracy. Backup.
